Well this is the end of Formula 1 as we know it. Even if the ban is overturned it won't be until after Ferrari have been handed the 2007 title on a plate. Nobody wants to watch the championship decided in the court. Lewis Hamilton's chance to be the first driver to win in his rookie season is gone. Alonso's chance to win 3-in-a-row is gone.
Meanwhile, if the ban for 2008 stands McLaren could very well go out of business which means the last of the long-standing teams in F1 other than Ferrari is gone.
The FIA have cut their own throats - nobody except the gormless Tifosi will want to watch F1 now. No competition won't bother the classless Ferrari drones like Luca di Montezemolo and Jean Todt, but it matters to the fans.
