Solución a los SEMI-BRICKS de la Wii

I’ve made a disc which will hopefully fix any NTSC Wii that got bricked by an imported Mario Kart game (or similar). It is an ISO with one partition — an update partition — and it contains three files:

* IOS30-64-v1040.wad
* SystemMenu-v289.wad
* __update.inf:

System Menu v289 is the newest NTSC version of the system menu available on Nintendo’s download servers; it’s what you will get if you go into the Settings Menu and perform an update. I packed it into a WAD, and maintained the original, valid Nintendo signature, so it should be safe to install. (The disc, however, is fakesigned. This should not be a problem.)

I’m including IOS30 as well, just in case — it’s what this system menu uses. I would expect all systems out there to already have it installed, but hey.

Obligatory warning — I have tested this on 3 Wiis and it seemed to work fine, but I can’t make any promises that it won’t brick your Wii. It contains no safeguards; use this ONLY on an NTSC (US) Wii. If you use it on an NTSC/J or Pal Wii, it WILL BRICK you. (If there is a need, I can make similar discs for those systems.)

As promised, here are discs to install the latest version of the system menu for each region — v288/v289/v290 for JAP/USA/PAL, respectively.
(these are just temporary links – dCiSo has generously offered to host these on console-scene.info):

For more information on what these images are and how they were made, please read NTSC Semi-brick fix disc and NTSC Semi-brick fix disc, comment 22. The USA version is identical to the one in that article, but renamed for consistency with the other two.

Please note that I have not tested either of the NTSC/J or PAL versions the PAL version because I have no way to do so, and although I have double-checked them, they were created manually. Hopefully the first people to try these will comment below reporting success — before trying them yourself, please scroll down to see if anyone has reported problems, and I will update this entry once they have been confirmed to be safe and effective.

Tengo un amigo a quien le encantará este disco.

Se puede decir que si...

Cualquier semi-brick ocasionado por actualizar con algun juego de otra region, se puede arreglar con un juego mas reciente de tu misma region.

Pero como ahora ni el mario kart puede reparar el semi-brick en las NTSC, por eso sacarón esta aplicacion.
FUNCIONA!!!!!!

Lo he puesto y se ha arreglado. 0 problemas.

no se si se han fijado pero tambien han sacado una tool para resetear el control parental

Pero mi Wii es mia, no es de mis padres [+risas]

Pero no dudo que habrá uno que otro niño, a los cuales les prohiben los juegos violentos, si es que los hay en Wii ¬_¬
Mmmmmmmm... esta ISO arreglara solo algunos semibricks ya que contiene el menu v289 y el MK PAL instala el v291 y por lo tanto no se realizara la actualizacion.

En realidad una vez actualizado con el disco, me fui a opciones (que ahora funciona, jeje) y actualice nuevamente a lo que seria la 3.2U. Todo funciono bien, aunque lo que dice Waninkoko es verdad ya que yo tenia semibrick no con mk. Alguien que tenga el semibrick con mk pal podria confirmar.

YO CONFIRMO, tenía un semi-brick con MK PAL, y ahora ya puedo entrar a los settings!!!
[risita] Vaya estaba esperando algo como esto, mas quisiera saber si quien lo ha usado como tu kuchiki ness no ha tenido ningun problema?, es decir luego de que usaste la actualizacion lo dejaste asi, o actualizaste a 3.2 de una? bueno me imagino habran actualizado de una para evitar riesgos, mas quiero mas informacion al respecto antes de usarlo. Mi chip es wiikey 1.9g (no es obligatorio tenerlo en 1.9s verdad? por cosas de rumores aun no lo actualizo a 1.9s) y mi semibrick es por mario kart pal en mi consola ntsc-usa. Por cierto aprovecho a preguntar y disculpen si esto esta repetido, que hace exactamente la actualizacion 3.2? podre seguir jugando online tranquilo con mis backups luego de actualizar? por q aunq ya vi q las consolas con chip siguen funcionando perfectamente luego de actualizar... bueno vean el post numero 5 de esta pagina y veran porq me dio como inseguridad:

Es esto una gran mentira o quizas el chip era muy malo? recuerden mi chip es wiikey 1.9g asi q bueno disculpen la preguntadera y espero mis amigos de EOL me puedan aclarar las dudas lo mejor q puedan :)
Hola amigos saben si con este disco podre remover el canal mario kart pal?? aunque puedo ingresar a todas las opciones de mi wii ya no quiero ese canal que no me sirve de nada, podre removerlo??

Tambien ya he quemado esta iso 2 veces y no me corre en mi wii por que motivo sera?? Sera que es por el bloqueo de actualizaciones del chip wiikey? lo tengo con el ultimo firm quizas sea por esa opcion, ayuda por favor. GRACIAS

pues agradesco este iso me salvo pero le doy muchas mas gracias a wanin ya que hizo varios intentos y solopor quele decia!! y uno de ellos si funciona para los que no tienen chip es el wii config xD
