World Exclusive. Splinter Cell Xbox Live content! _
World Exclusive. Screenshots of new Splinter Cell 'downloadable' missions! Xboxworld has received some exclusive screenshots from the upcoming 'downloadable' mission "Kola Cell" coming soon via Xbox Live. The level will be available for download via Xbox Live as of March 14th. The new level deals with the Phillip Masse story (in case you've forgotten, Phillip Masse is they guy in the Ministry of Defence elevator that you have to eavesdrop with the microphone. He's a notorious hacker that the bad guys employ to do some pretty nasty coding.) This is nice timing for all European Xbox Live purchasers as its release will coincide with the release of Xbox Live for them! As to how these levels will be made available to Australian Splinter Cell fans (as an XBL release date for us is still to be announced) XBoxworld spoke to Owen Hughes from Ubisoft Australia and had a brief chat about how they plan to make this level available to us.. "How will we get it to Aussie gamers? This is the first of the downloadable missions and it's only one level so creating a CD for a 38mb file would be pretty expensive, especially if we have to do this for each new level. We have already spoken to OAXM about this and they're looking into covermounting it sometime between March and June (schedules permitting). We will be sent this new level on a disc within ten days so we'll evaluate what should be done after we've seen it." There you have it, it's great to see a publisher working out ways to get that XBL content to us poor Aussies! Xboxworld will have more info on this as news breaks.
