Working method for devhook using datel 4gb hdd (tested,ok)
First, credits to the guy who found a so called "way to get it working" using the swap method, since my way is a simplified version and most important, a working version (100% - currently there's FN3 playin on my psp)
Note: keep in mind to leave the umd tray with the umd inserted opened until i request to close it.
1. Install on both ms and hdd the devhook files needed (note: if u cant get it working, grab the pack in another topic in maxconsole forum).
2. Boot the psp with the datel, proceed to Devhook and setup it like this:
UMD Select -> iso u wish to play
UMD MOUNT -> ISO ANYUMD
UMD VERSION -> 2.xx ->2.00
FIRMWARE -> 2.50+2.00
BOOT SELECT -> reboot XMB
3. Now, before to hit start, just swap the hdd with the memory stick. In this way the program keep trace of the iso in the ram as a link without currently loading it in memory, and enables u to load up the firmware.When ure ready, hit start and wait the firmware to load up.
4. Ok , now ure into 2.5 emulated firmware. Swap back the MS with the HDD and wait the Ms icon to show up into the xmb.Now close the tray with anyumd of ur choice and wait for the psp to recognize the umd. Go on the icon and u will see the emulated umd game (in my case there is fight night attract screen, while there is twisted metal phisically inserted in the psp)
5. If u don't see the umd that u selected before, jus use homebutton + r, but this never happened in my case, all the isos are recognized and emulated like real ones.
Pros: Alot of stuff on the hdd, oh yeah!
Cons: Long loading times, not so long, but hell, they are compared to a ms, specially cos devhook needs to load up the iso when the firmware emulation has been started and running.
Post feedbacks or questions and ill try to reply to them all.
