Title: Duke Nukem Forever
Developer: 3D Realms
Platforms: Thought to be Xbox 360, PC
What was it about? We don’t really have to explain this one to you. Do we? Well, it was due to be the next instalment in the Duke Nukem series, which went into development back in 1997. It’s one game the industry will be talking about – and hoping – for a long time to come. Ten years later, multiple teaser trailers and screenshots had been released, before development was terminated by 3D Realms.
Title: Tiberium
Developer: EA Los Angeles

What was it about? Another game in the universe of the critically acclaimed Command & Conquer series. EA Los Angeles first showcased this title – after a couple of leaks - with
a trailer on GTTV showing some fast-paced footage, later revealing that it was in-fact a first-person shooter. From that trailer, it did show that the game had the potential. However, EA later confirmed its termination because the game wasn’t reaching the high standards of the series. Shame.
Title: Dirty Harry

What was it about? The game was to be set after the events of the original, popular Dirty Harry movie – which starred Clint Eastwood – but acted as a prequel to the second instalment in the film series, Magnum Force. Platforms: Project Natal (Xbox 360)
What was it about? 2-Finger Heroes was one of, if not the first Natal game to be cancelled. Details are short but sweet for any casual gamer, with the gamers’ fingers becoming the characters legs. Other plans for the game – mock-up screenshots can be
seen here - included parts where the gamer crossed their arms, twisting an object on the screen. The game was cancelled shortly after planning started, but it was colourful and different. We would have liked to see something come out of it.

Title: Division 9
Developer: Irrational Games

What was it about? A zombie-apocalypse title from Irrational Games which would have been the Left 4 Dead of today, if released. The game saw three characters, all believed to be playable walking through the streets with a load of guns, blasting holes through the un-dead. It’s unknown why the game never made it (it even had an unknown publisher) and according to Irrational’s Ken Levine, it’s the one game they wish they’d have shipped. As you can see from
this trailer, a little more time (and a sprint button) could have helped the game become something huge.
Title: COPS: The Police Experience
