Del 4 al 8 de Marzo se ha celebrado en San Jose (California) la Game Developers Conference (GDC); un forum independiente al que acuden los desarrolladores para intercambiar ideas y presentar sus nuevos proyectos.
Y como se viene haciendo desde hace tres de años, los profesionales del sector han elegido los mejores juegos del año, con Metroid Prime como máximo ganador.
Cabe destacar el premio honorífico a Gunpei Yokoi, creador de la GameBoy, fallecido en 1997.
