2.71 SE-B'' MP3 module v0.3a released today
What we have here today certainly has a tinge of musicality to it in more ways than one. More than a week ago, we were all treated to the first version of 2.71 SE-B'' MP3 module. After a good number of improvements and modifications, coder joek2100 gladly shares the application yet again today.
Given all the changes applied to the said MP3 PRX module, it can be considered that the major one is the re-writing of the playlist code so that there will no longer be a need to allocate extra memory. Accordingly, previous reports of bricking and crashes were traced to low RAM level. Aside from toggling between the three standard brightness mode, module v0.3a adds more CPU speeds and the maximum level that normally requires the psp to be plugged in.
Homebrewer joek2100 mentioned that this application was only tested using 2.71 SEB'' with no custom gameboots, backgrounds and other PRXs. It is in this light then that he warns others of a reduced compatibility and a possibility that it will not be working properly. Users might also find it useful to know that it is actually wise to wait until the game is finished loading up before starting the playback.
Please remember that the "Note" button is to the left of the "Select" button. Other controls for 2.71 SE-B'' MP3 module v0.3a are as follows:
* Note + Left Trigger = pause/resume playback
* Note + Right Trigger = switch playback mode between random and sequential
* Note + D-Pad Left = previous song (only in sequential mode)
* Note + D-Pad Right = next song
* Note + Triangle = Change CPU speed
* Note + Square = Toggle On Screen Display (default off)
* Note + Circle = Reload list of mp3 files (needed if you change the files in the music folder using usb)
* (when READY is displayed in the bottom left hand corner, press Note+ Left Trigger to start playback)
* Note + Cross = Change brightness level (from current up to maximum)
