I've added the tileset for the Alex kidd sprite to the image gallery on the project site (it's done except for the Janken animation), so you can download and insert it with KiddEd into the original AKIMW game right now if you like. You'll have to edit the palettes and some sprite positions for it to look like it should though.
"About the music, I think it is important that it preserves the original spirit of the game/ era. It would be great that each level has its own music, but don´t forget to add original Alex Kidd music in at least one level. For me, last level with original music may be the best option. A nostalgic final chant, you know lol. There, it could fit better if you add some arrangements to the music; but again, respecting original feeling as much as possible. I think the re-mix that you added to this demo doesn´t respect that feeling."
Currently there are a few new tracks (from other SMS games) but the castle, janken and ending themes are the same. All the music is still 8-bit PSG music, since this is a rom hack and not a new game made from scratch.
I'd like to use the main theme (either original or a remix) at some point in the game, and have a unique track for each level/area, but I'm limited to having as many tracks as in the original right now.
By the way, does anyone remember Golvellius? A side thing I made the other day was to insert Kelesis's sprite into AKIMW:

For example: Alex Kidd, Wonder Boy, Kelesis, Asterix. Go ahead and request one if you like, but keep in mind it has to be a character that fits with the mechanics and sprite sizes.
