Review
Algunas parrafos a destacar:
"The biggest surprise is the new control panel, which is officially called the Digital SoundTouch Control Center. The last generation controller got the job done, but the new unit is a multimedia component in its own right. Inside the silver case are Dolby Digital, DTS, and Pro Logic II (PLII) decoders. Right there you have enough processing to take care of Xbox, PS2, GCN, and DVDs, not to mention any PC game you might be running. Logitech abandoned the matrix M3D processing of the 560s in favor of industry standard decoding - a very wise move. This makes the system as comfortable with consoles and DVD players as it is with computers. There is no other system on the market with these features"
"Around front you'll notice a standard headphone jack and an 1/8-inch input.[...]Around back are six-channel analog ins (for a 5.1-channel sound card), a digital optical in, and a digital coaxial in. So all told you have two sets of analog inputs and both flavors of digital audio inputs. To put it another way, you could have a PC, an Xbox, a PS2, and a GCN all attached simultaneously. You'd need an optical-to-coaxial adapter of course, but that's a simple find. Alternatively, you could have a PC, an Xbox/PS2, a GCN, and a DVD player connected at the same time."
"Another reason the 680s would be acceptable in any number of applications is the obscene amount of power they put out. As a whole, the system provides 450 watts RMS. The amplifier housed in the sub doles out 53 watts per satellite and keeps a throaty 185 watts RMS for itself. The 560s were loud enough for any size desktop; the 680s are loud enough to fill most rooms."
"There are few products I can recommend with the confidence of the 680s. They offer excellent sound, an outstanding feature set, and won't break the bank. Additionally, the can be used with a whole slew of products. These are speakers made for gamers, and seem as if they were designed by gamers, but are comfortable with any material. Pony up for a VGA adapter for your consoles and you never have to leave your desk.
Recommended absolutely without reservation."
Y las notas q le han puesto:
Performance
Stunning power and accurate sound. First-rate decoding in all modes. 9.5
Build Quality
The first-gen speakers were well made. The 680s are tanks. Solid as could be and very smartly designed. 9.5
Ease of Use
All this power and even the dumbest IGN editor could use them with ease. 9.5
Value
No other 5.1 system offers near this much for any amount of money. That they cost the same as other normal 5.1 rigs is insane. 9.5
Features
Desktop speakers shouldn't have this much. DTS, Dolby Digital, and Pro Logic II. You also get more power than you need, a remote, and optical, coaxial, and analog ins. 10.0
Longevity
6.1 is here with the Audigy 2, but 5.1 ain't going anywhere any time soon. 8.0
