Sony ha anunciado que el juego de mesa Dungeon Twister llegará al mundo de los videojuegos para PS3 la próxima semana.

Hydravision Games se ha unido con el creador del juego de mesa original, Christophe Boelinger, para adaptar el estilo de juego en un título de estrategia por turnos para la PlayStation Network.

En Dungeon Twister podremos controlar a ocho personajes únicos que deben acumular el máximo número de puntos para contentar a un archimago inmortal un poco inestable. Cada uno de los personajes tendrá habilidades únicas como hacer girar las habitaciones, atravesar las paredes, abrir cerraduras o regenerar la salud. Se ha descrito como "une mezcla entre el ajedrez y Dungeons & Dragons."

No obstante, a pesar de que en el juego original pueden jugar hasta cuatro usuarios, en el videojuego sólo existen los combates uno contra uno debido a que el equipo de desarrollo consideraba que se debía esperar demasiado tiempo en los turnos.

Además, Boelinger dice que le gustaría hacer una versión para Vita si el juego vende bien en PS3. "No está planeado en esta consola todavía, pero estoy seguro de que si el juego encuentra a su público en PS3, habrá una versión para Vita más adelante."

Dungeon Twister llegará a Europa el 4 de julio por aproximadamente diez euros.

Those musical levels in Epic Mickey 2 are just the beginning, Warren Spector has revealed.




Speaking to IGN, Spector said he has a three stage plan whenever he begins designing a new game.

“One of the parts of my process is I figure out a three-story arc, like a narrative arc, and then I figure out, ‘Okay, if we get lucky enough to do more than one game set in this world, what’s the game innovation? What’s the new thing in the first one? What would the new thing be in the second game? What would the new thing be in the third?’” he said.

Epic Mickey 2′s innovation is two-player co-op, something Spector says he had planned way back in 2005, but Epic Mickey 3, if it comes about, will do something far more daring.

“I had some really crazy ideas about ways to use music in games, that seemed very Disney-like to me,” Spector said.

The musical numbers in Epic Mickey 2 are a test bed for this idea.

“This time around, in the second game, I just wanted to take a baby-step to making the full-blown interactive musical game. This is not it. Gamers, you tell ’em there are songs in the game and they start getting panicked, but I just want to see if people will accept songs in games and, if they do, next time I’m going crazy. People don’t even know what’s gonna hit ’em,” Spector concluded.

Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two is due on Mac, PC, PlayStation 3, Wii and Xbox 360 in November.

Capcom is bringing Marvel vs. Capcom Origins, a compilation of arcade fighters Marvel Super Heroes and Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes, to PlayStation Network and Xbox LIVE Arcade in September.

El director de Final Fantasy XIII y su secuela, Motomu Toriyama, se ha mostrado muy críptico al hablar acerca del futuro de esta serie de juegos de rol, aunque ha dejado abiertas las puertas al desarrollo de un nuevo videojuego ambientado en el universo protagonizado por la bella Lightning.

"Creo que el contenido descargable de Lightning tenía un final que dejaba un sentimiento de misterio y esperanza. El día que demos respuesta a esto llegará en un futuro cercano”, ha comentado el creativo japonés.

Declaración de intenciones que algunos medios especializados creen que hace referencia a un posible Final Fantasy XIII-3, que llegaría a estrenarse antes que el largamente esperado Final Fantasy Versus XIII, aunque no se descarta que se trate, simplemente, de un nuevo pack de contenidos descargables para Final Fantasy XIII-2.

Reef said this morning that Rambo: The Video Game will get a showing at gamescom next month.

The title is in the works for PC and PS3 and 360, as was announced last August.

Reef Entertainment marketing boss Craig Lewis said: “We have been quiet since we acquired the Rambo license last August. During this time we have been dedicated to creating a videogame for consoles and PC that will allow Rambo fans and gamers across the globe to really get under the skin of Rambo and wield his iconic weapon-set in battle.”

Nothing is known of Rambo’s setting, although the imagery used in the promo, as seen below, implies it’s going to be a mix of scenarios from the three original films.

More information about the game will emerge in the lead-up to the show. Reef purchased the rights to make the game from StudioCanal last year.

There’s no date, although it was said last year it’d be out in 2012. The official site says “soon“.

En teoria, se presentarian en el E3'13, y se supone que Sony dejaria mas margen a la consola antes que presentar Ps4 ese mismo año. Vamos que se iria para 2014 la Next-gen de Sony...
