Leyendo los posts sobre lo de la bios del DVD, parece ser que está casi completada el hackeo de la Bios por parte de un tio llamdo Ajtaji.
Modifica plenamente el código de la Bios del DVD. SI lo sacara publicamente, este codigo bloquearia la deteccion de CD-R. DVD-R y demas medios de pirateo, ya que segun el, odia la pirateria y no piensa inducirla.
Mas bien, diria yo, o una de dos:
-Este tio está soltando fakes
-o que está cagao por los problemas legales que puedan llevar la "circunvalación de medidas de proteccion de software" pena por 5 años de prison.
Con lo que, si realmente lo ha logrado y lo publica, cosa que lo dudo, lo dejará muy dificil a la comunidad pirata para que se haga un uso ilegal de este hackeo.
Es lo que os contaba antes, los americanos pasan del pirateo y por parte de ellos no vendrá ninguna forma de poder hackear la consola para almenos saltarse la proteccion de regiones de los juegos. Que cabrones!!}:/

Yes it is true that the firmware that I released is not from the XBOX DVD drive. Not only is it illegal to send copywrited material, releasing it at this point in time would just lead to piracy. And I sincerely ask that if anyone else has been able to snarf the code not to release it.
I stated when I started this thread that I would not send the code and or post it. And will stand by that.
Some people just had to have to code so I sent them a public released bios from another kind of drive. I realize that some people would think of this as being an asshole, which I may be some times, but just try to think where I'm coming from. It got them to quit pm'ing me and hounding.
Just some more info: I have disassembled the code for funtionality education. I have completed the rewriting of the bios to emulate the original funtions plus added a few of my own.
ATTENTION MICROSOFT AND OR THOMPSON: It was not easy but the code I have written in no way resembles the original. No copywrited code was reused in the final product. If you would like more information please feel free to contact me at "ajtaji@go.com"
Now if there is not anything illegal about the software I have created it will be publicly released unless it could lead to piracy and if you guys working on the mcp and cpu bios can find a legal way to get software to run without it being signed.
To detur piracy I have added these funtions:
DVD-R and DVD-RW will not be reconized in the drive.(any type)
CD-R will not be reconized. (any type)
The only media that will be reconized:
DVD ntsc
cd (yellow book)
cd (red book)
XBOX dvd Rom
CD-RW (100 meg. limitation) for custom programming. [any CD-RW inserted with more than a 100 megs. total will not funtion either.]
These funtions are added to the bios code to detur piracy using my bios for the drive if it is ever released. If you don't like the new funtions then don't upgrade your bios.
I am not a pirate and detest piracy 100%. The install program will have the bios encrypted.
If there is no legal way to use custom code on the xbox then you will never see the release. Sorry to be so uptight. Its just the way its going to be from my direction.
