Beatbox Studio (nicknamed BBS) is a rapping game for MCs to show their skills on the mic. The game makes use of a microphone accessory to allow players to beatbox to the music. Pronunciation and rhythm are the key components to racking up combos for the music -- you've gotta' have them both down if you want your beats to travel. Beyond just challenging you to break down a beat the game may actually teach you to do this type of hip-hop beat-making. Your beatbox sounds will be evaluated by the system, helping you to learn how to flap them gums and bust the backbeat.

"GamesAreFun.com is reporting on a new PSP and PS2 game being developed by Coong Entertainment called Beatbox Studio. Apparently, players will have to beatbox (make drumming sounds using their voice) to the rhythm of songs. The game will utilize the PS2 mic and upcoming PSP mic accessories. It looks like it will be similar to Dance Dance Revolution and other bemani titles, except for the fact that none of those titles involve beatboxing. I don't think there have been any beatboxing games in the past; it's a truly interesting and unique idea."
