German TV bosses are planning a new Big Brother – one which could be a lifelong experience for its contestants.

“We’re in discussions with broadcasters in Germany but there is nothing I can say about it yet,” she said.
“We are not sure whether the show could be in a house or a village.
“The managing director of Endemol in Germany came up with the idea.
“The year-long version of Big Brother, in Germany, is very successful, and he thought maybe we could do something for a longer period of time.
“We cannot go into details – nothing is certain yet. But the title, which is a working title, should tell you something.”
Asked if the show would go on until contestants died, she said: “That’s the difficult part.”
A spokeswoman for Big Brother in the UK said there were no plans for the new format in Britain.
The development comes after Channel 4 was reprimanded by media regulator Ofcom for the fifth series of the reality show.
It was criticised for not acting quickly enough to put a stop to the violence on Big Brother’s infamous “fight night“.
Ofcom received 328 complaints from viewers about the fight on the show, billed as Big Brother Gets Evil.
