³ media including some DVD+Rs. We recommend doing this laser tweak if you ³
³ have any problems reading your DVDs. We are no laser experts, in fact ³
³ we think it would be more appropriate to just lower the value of the ³
³ variable resistor instead of setting it to an absoulte given value, ³

³ - If the disc stops spinning in the menu it means that the drive can't ³
³ sync with your media, or that there are not enough data on your disc. ³
³ In direct boot mode the GC is very selective about the media it ³
³ takes. If you have any problem please try the swap trick. If you ³
³ still have problems try with different media/burner. Make sure your ³
³ laser is correctly tweaked! We strongly recommend NEC burners, they ³
³ produce really good discs that won't give you any DRE. ³

³ - Audio Streaming: Some games use a special audio streaming mode ³
³ that can be compared to CDDA. For now, the ISO of the file needs to ³
³ be patched with 0rbital's great ViperTemporaryAudioFix 1.1+. If the ³
³ ISO is not patched you'll have noise instead of music. We will try to ³
³ fix this issue so no patching is required. But in case we do, YOUR ³

³ on REAL HARDWARE, each file/fst has to be aligned on a 4-byte boundary! ³
³ Else nothing will work. Audio Files (for audio streaming) even need ³
³ to be aligned on a 32kb-boundary ! So forget current "WIPE" tools until ³
³ they are fixed. But note that Garbage is NOT NEEDED by the GC. The ³
³ files must be correctly aligned that's it. So if your "WIPE" tool is ³
³ not changing the image size (meaning there's no relocation) then it's ³
³ probably fine. Use FSTFIX by LOONYCUBE to fix bad rips. ³

Una pena que no solucionen lo de los juegos multidiscos . Será más dificil de lo que parece.

PD: No debería decirlo, pero hay código para juegos multidisco desde la Cobra 0.4 dentro de la bios, será que no les da el resultado esperado, pero investigar el tema lo están investigando.

TOMA YA! Los muy bastos dicen que se puede cojer el disco girando, pararlo con la mano durante un segundo, soltarlo y debe de seguir leyendo sin DRE! Ya se vera si va asi de bien... no pienso probar eso

Si ya ha dado un DRE no va a volver por muchas vueltas que des al disco... me parece una burrada. ¿Alguien entiende lo que quieren decir en realidad?

Probado lo de parar el disco con el dedo. Se vuelve a poner en marcha y sigue a su aire, como si no hubiera pasado nada

Lo mismo me pasa, pa que dos hilos pa lo mismo...

Esta gente esta haciendo muy buen trabajo. Donde estan ahora los que se quejaban de mentalcube?

Sobre la bios comentar que va perfecta aunque no he podido probar los +r porque no los uso, pero esto del fix me gusta mucho y aunque queda lo del multidisco es algo que para los que compramos los juegos originales no es problema.

a la hora de cambiar el disco justo cuando nos pide que salvemos para cambiar de disco, y todavia no se para el disco. le damos salvar o mejor, lo ignoramos y de inmediato paramos el disco y ponemos el otro antes de que pare o algo por el estilo, osea. se supone que el final del disco y el rollo ese de cambiar lo carga la memoria ram del cubo entonces se podria aprvechar cambiar de disco y así continuar en el segundo?.ahora en caso de que se pudiera, de tantas veces de hacer no nos tronaríamos el motor del lector?

LOS JUEGOS MULTIBOOT SI PONES LO DE QUE DIRECTAMENTE TE LOS BOTEE SI PONES UN DISCO MULTIBOT TE APARECE UNA PANTALLA CON LOS JUEGOS QUE HAY METIDOS Y CUAL QUIERES ARRANCAR:.... pero siguen habiendo DRE's

Yo creo que con estas bios han mejorado bastante, es mas yo creo que habia una opcion dentro del menu para que la consola reconociera cuando se abre la tapa, ahora que no hay que hacer swap poniendo esa opcion posiblemente funcionen los juegos multidisco.

Bueno me voy a poner a jugar a mgs para ver si vale lo del cmabio de disco.

A mi me sigue sin hacer lo de la carga directa y he probado con Verbatim +R y -R pues vaya mierda bueno vuelvo a la 0.4 hasta que salga una que me funcione.

Yo este fin de semana instalare la bios, ahora no pk tengo k desconectar medio pc para poder conectar la gamecube a la torre y como que no tengo muchas ganas.

a los k no os van directos- usais buenos consumibles?si no te van los vervatin prueva a limpiar la lente yo uso rimax -r a x4 y van de lujo. tambien por lo k he visto, la grabadora tiene mucho k ver, grabando con la de un amigo no me va ni uno con mi lg todos. no desespereis k yo al principio estava como vosotros, y haciendo pruevas he conseguido k me valla todo perfecto sin dres y directo.

de la bios opino k es un avance colosal ya digo k me va todo perfecto.

de la bios opino k es un avance colosal ya digo k me va todo perfecto.

uso una pioner i memorex pocket, siempre me habia ido todo bien con el swap (kon sus DRES i tal pero bine dentro de lo ke kabe) pero lo ke es el direct boot aun no lo e catado

Hola a todos tengo una pregunta. Con esta nueva cobra como se hace un backup si con las anteriores versiones se hacia mediante el swap si esta no tiene como se haría.

yo he tenido q cambiar un poco el valor del potenciometro xq no m pillaba los q en anteriores versiones si y ahora me pilla todos los +r en carga directa, la verdad q funciona de lujo

Chicos os habeis dado cuenta como MOLA cambiar de version asi de golpe sin esperas, te levantas por la mañana y ahi esta la 1.1 y yo que no contaba con ella tan pronto
Ahora si que puede creer que a los de Viper no nos dejan tirados

hola, a mi d momento la nueva bios me va =.
Cabe decir que uso consumibles "buenos" y si uso esos nunca e tenido DRE's.
En cambio para los discos con varios juegos si k tenia problemas pero con la nueva bios sigue = todo.

La unica mejora es lo del sonido kn un juego k me hacia ruido.

k3lk0m prueva ha gabar un backup en casa de algun amigo, te lo digo por k yo he tenido dos pioneer 0.6 y no me salieron buenas ,ojo me refiero a mi no kiero decir k la gravadora sea mala solo k a mi me salieron malas. si aun asi no te funciona te recomiendo k prueves con consumibles de 12cm pero de calidad tu prueva k con eso de k salen las carcasas a lo mejo hasta te conviene usar dvd de 12

tendre ke probarlo si, pq sino no me keda mas remedio. actualizar firmware podria servir? kiero decir en si cambia algo el metodo de grabacion. de todos modos probare otro consumible i otra grabadora. muchas gracias

Esque a mi la 1.0 me va bien y si no trae ninguna cosa notable con relacion a la anterior no veo el por que cambiarla.

yo ya la caté la 1.1 y de vicio por ejemplo con el ikaruga..ya no se oye ese fsfsfsfsfsfsfsfsfsfsfsfsfsfsfs tan molestopero los multiboot no me rulan,puse uno de p.o.persia 2 y pikmin....pues uno se queda pillao el logo de presentacion de cube y el otro se me para el dvd....no pasa na,todo al tiempo....estoy encantado y una cosilla na mas de mini pega...podian cambiar el look de la proxima bios,no se,una animacion,o un caleidoscopio,o algo tipo look del trainer del r.evil 4. por lo demas menos el multi (a mi al menos)perfecto.

Increible!! acabo de hacer un backup del R.E.4 en un dvd - R marca general y se lo traga perfectamente sin cortes ni nada...

Edito: Tiene huevos, se traga esto y los mini dvd memorex no hace ni el amgo de leerlos, pues nada, a comprarme la carcasa ....

A mi no me pillaba ninguno en carag directa, le cambie la potencia al lector y ahora si que me van todos.

Lo que si he notado es que los +r hacen mas ruido al leerlos que los -r.

a mi me sigue funcionando todo igual (tambien eske a mi siempre me a ido bien) la unica mejora reseñable ke e visto en esta eske a los juegos ke necesitaban fix de audio ya no hace falta y por fin puedo jugar al ikaruga sin rallarme y al star fox tambien. de todas formas menuda sorpresa el lanzamiento de la 1.1 yo no me habia enterado de nada. ciao

PD: esto de el audio tiene de estar bien.... el star fox y el Ikaruga y el Crazi taxi: porfin me funcionaran!!

A mi me funciona mas o menos igual, lo que me funcionaba me sigue funcionando y lo que no pos me sigue sin funcionar.

Eso si tiene algunas mejoras, a mi una de las que mas me a gustado es la del arranque directo, viene una opcion que puedes activar con la que al meter el dvd el detecta si es un juego y arranca directamente (sin tener que darle a direct boot) o sea, no salen las opciones de la bios, como si metieras en una consola sin el viper un mini dvd original.

Tambien decir que a mi me funcionan perfectamente los dvd's multiboot, acabo de probar uno con el smash bross melee y el luigi's mansion y perfecto. Ademas esta mazo guapo, porque al tener el autoarranque sale directamente al meter el dvd el explorador de archivos y ya eliges el que quieres y listo.

Pos lo dicho, a mi me funciona muy bien, eso sip, a ver cuando se puede hacel el multidisco y podemos jugar al metal y al tales.

pd: yo he actualizado desde el dvd, si quemais la iso que viene con la bios, te vas al explorador de archivos y ejecutas el viper 1.1 y se actualiza en menos de 1 minuto.

Esta BIOS para mi ya roza la perfeccion. Ahora se dedicaran a ponerle tonteridasss, como eso de que lea .mp3, y cosas asi

Acabo de actualizar por segunda vez. La primera vez he actualizado, he comparado con el flaseador para comprobar que estuviera bien escrita y al rearrancar la cube se me quedaba la pantalla negra. Me he cagao, sí xD Luego he vuelto a la 1.0 y sin problemas, he vuelto a flasearla y perfecto. No sé, por si a alguien le pasa, que reintente a ver

Y por cierto, los dvd+r... sí, los lee sin swap, pero hace UN PUTO RUIDO de la hostia. El láser parece que se vuelva loco y el dvd suena como si estuviera rozando con algo (cuando no lo está...). Casi que prefiero seguir haciendo swap con los +r...

¿Alguien más ha probado el swap con los +r? ¿Le ocurre lo mismo?

Es que me parece una cagada. Ese ruido no es ni medio normal

yo acabo de cargarla y los verbatim +r me van perfectos sin swap y sin ruido.... la verdad tambien esque tengo el lector tocado hasta 220 pero vamos... rula perfecto... a esta bios le falta poco para la perfeccion señores.... un salu2 y haber si todo sigue asi de bien!
