Xbox and PC versions of Pro Evolution Soccer 4 will launch in the UK and Europe on November 19, Konami has stated this afternoon, the company additionally confirming that both iterations of the latest instalment in the awesome football series feature online play.
Pro Evolution Soccer 4 on Xbox employs the console's dedicated online gaming platform Xbox Live to "facilitate fully online matches", while the PC version of the game supports both LAN and online play over TCP/IP. Fabulous, although a minor fly in the ointment is that online play in both outings is restricted to one-on-one matches.
Pro Evolution Soccer is widely regarded as the greatest football videogame series in history, and we admit that the fourth instalment on PS2 has eaten up more lunchtime hours in the office than we care to mention. Boasting numerous gameplay additions and enhancements, number four also includes club teams from Italy, Spain and Holland under official license, another first for the franchise.
