De todo un poco 2 - Wii

The Dragon Quest Swords teaser site is up, but I did manage to find another tidbit of information.

During a select-press-only event at E3 2006, Square-Enix announced that Dragon Quest Swords — a game based on their massively popular Dragon Quest RPG series — would be coming to Nintendo’s Wii. What they kept secret was the developer behind the title.

That secret was shattered today, however, when Genius Sonority announced they have been overseeing Dragon Quest Swords, set for a spring 2007 Japanese release.

Nintendo has invited me to the Nintendo Wii Holiday Preview Event next month before the launch of the Wii. I personally knew about this event about a month ago; now I have a chance to attend. From what I’ve been told, it’s by special invite only. The event starts at 10am and ends at 1pm on Nov. 14 in Toronto, Canada.

The description is as follows: An exclusive peek at Nintendo’s sizzling 2006 holiday lineup, featuring its must-have, yet-to-be-launched home entertainment console of the year, Wii.

Will I attend this event? I haven’t made up my mind just as yet. I do plan to be getting the Wii in my hands a few days before launch so I’m not sure if I should go. On the other hand I suppose an interview with a Nintendo rep would also be nice if time permitted. I also planned for an in-depth honest review of the Wii before launch. I suppose I’ll wait and see, but by the 14th, I’m sure we’ll have loads of info already about the Wii.
