Top Spin 2 offers a solid Career mode, teamed with mini-games for training and multiplayer action. Touch interface and bottom screens aren’t used to their full potential.
4.0 Graphics
It may look decent at first, but it will all change when players see it in motion. The frame-rate reminds us of N-Gage games, and that just doesn’t cut it.
3.0 Sound
The music is generic and uninspired. A few lines of dialogue have been included, but the crowd reaction will drive you nuts. GBA quality? Maybe. DS? Not a chance.
3.0 Gameplay
A horrible frame-rate and unpredictable slowdown makes this one a chore to play. Skill shots are based entirely on timing, and there’s no way to pull them off if the game is skipping frames.
3.0 Lasting Appeal
There may be multiplayer, but that would require two copies, which we strongly discourage. Career mode is a plus, if only the game was strong enough to enjoy in the first place. This one frustrates
