Dear All,
I have noticed that Electronic Gaming Monthly (EGM) has published a review of Die Hard: Vendetta that scored lowly.
The review in question was of an old and outdated build of Die Hard: Vendetta. Therefore we find it very disappointing that a well-respected magazine would base all their opinions and scores on an unfinished product, and then release a potentially damaging review with unfair and inaccurate remarks.
I can categorically state that the issues they mentioned have been addressed in later builds of the game. The control and aiming was something the team was always aware of but only had time to implement to the desired level of quality towards the end of the production cycle.
Take comments about manual aiming snapping back to the centre. This is a feature that can be turned on and off in the options, of which there are plenty to make the experience one that you enjoy.
The build EGM reviewed was not complete, and it seems almost fitting that there is no mention of the gameplay and scenario features within their article. I am positive that the reviewer has barely played the game at all, let alone experienced many of the features that makes the game a very rich package.
The team are very confident that Die Hard: Vendetta will be well received across the media and public alike. I would expect that you would begin to see proper reviews of the game from as early as next month in print and online.
I think it is very fair to say that in EGM’s case, they have rushed out a review to meet publication deadlines. Unfortunately that means that they have blatantly not given Die Hard: Vendetta (and possibly other titles) a fair review.
Kind Regards,
Neil
