Dragon Ball Z: Sparking Neo is going to have more than just a couple modes of play once it releases. Famitsu has a rundown of the gameplay modes which have been made available to the public. I have put together some rather loose explanations from a Google translation. Final names of gameplay modes will differ from loose translations.
Dragon Adventure
This mode contains a small amount of RPG elements by bringing together 3 characters that follow along a similar story path. The game follows the storyline of a few DBZ series episodes, as well as bringing some new info to the table.
Opposition
You pick your favorite fighter and favorite arenas, and just go at it. Feel free to re-write DBZ history, and make your favorite character the ultimate victor.
Tower mode
Much like the tower modes found in Mortal Kombat, in this selection you find yourself fighting against certain characters/situtaions to reach the top of the tower. Each time you climb to the next level, you are met with different rules. 2 on 2 fights are one of the many possible situations to be thrown at you.
Dragon Tournament
This mode allows for 8 players to battle it out 1 on 1. Climb through the ranks of your opponents to reach the final 1 on 1 match. Show your friends who really is king of DBZ: Sparking Neo!
