Hola,
. Who is responsible for paying tax?
A. As an independent contractor you are responsible for paying your own taxes. You are advised to check this out with a tax consultant/expert in your locality and also to visit the various taxation websites for guidance.
Q. What proof of tax is required and how often?
A. We will require you to submit receipts (to be confirmed on appointment to position) as proof that you have been paying your taxes. If you fail to provide evidence then we will have to investigate further.
Q. What if I already have another job and am paying tax on this?
A. If you already have a job then it is still up to you to pay your own taxes for this role. We cannot assist in this area and you need to speak with someone who can calculate your overall tax for you. You will need to register as being self-employed with your tax authority and they can assist you from there.
Q. Who will pay for my social security contributions?
A. As an independent contractor you are responsible for paying all of your own social security contributions. You will need to register with your local authority in order to arrange for your contributions.
