Dudas con ps2os y varias :P

Hola wenas, pues os explico mi caso. Resulta k tengo una imagen del ps2os de 1,2 gb y lei k si la metia x hd via red la podria ejecutar desde el hdloader sin tener k gastar un dvd, y cierto k se peude y lo he conseguido.

Mi duda es la siguiente, se puede meter el ps2os y k sea arrancable desde la MC o desde el HD sin tener la imagen de 1,2 en el HD? es k me ocupa muxo espacio en el hd. Y otra cosa, si lo meto en la MC (creo k ya esta) como hago para arrancarlo desde la MC :S? Alguna combinacion de teclas o algo ein?

Y una ultima cuestion [ayay] prove a meter el Keylauncher desde un cd y resulta k le cuesta a mi ps2 y no lo coje y x lo tanto no graba nada en la MC. Usando el metodo de meter esa imagen en el HD y arrancandola desde ahí podria pasarlo a la MC?

Siento tantas preguntas pero me compre el NA ayer y tengo muchas dudas y mira k me releo los post y voy sakando cosas pero no tan especificas.

Sobre tu primera duda, solo necesitas el archivo ELF -los *.ELF son los ejecutables de la consola asi como los *.EXE son los de Windows- del PS2OS y un archivo USBD.IRX -si quieres tener compatibilidad con dispositivos USB-.

Dicho elf ocupa ~500KB.

La otra, intenta grabar la imagen a la velocidad mas lenta posible para que te reconozca ese CD de instalacion del KL.

Necesitas el KL para lanzar el PS2OS este dentro de la MC o en el disco duro.

Thanks for choosing PS2OS, a free program for your console management. The program is still in a developement phase, we're still at the beginning, but it smells really good. This project was born as a tool that can make comfortable the use of your PS2 for everything that is unrelated to gaming. The program has an elaborated GUI as the major force point, in order to provide the final user all the tools that it needs without occurring in strange button combos...the only thing you've to do is reading the fluent tutorial at the bottom of the screen in order to unveil all the program's features.

INSTALLATION
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Once you launched PS2OS for the first time, will appear a setup screen. From this screen you'll be able to center your screen. choose the language (italian or english), choose the size for the PS2OS' partition and eventually the option for dev1 install.

PS2OS is installable in the dev1 modality, but you've to have a modchip compatible with the devolution mode: DMS3, Infinity, O2MOD,CrystalChip, DMS4... the only thing you need is pressing the square button during the setup... WARNING: It will delete your chip browser (crystal bootmanager, dms explorer...) and won't be added as an app in the browser menu. Only 150k will be required on the mc, the app will entirely reside on the HDD.
An update feature is included too, so when a new release of Ps2os will come, you'll just have to run the new version from cdrom or host, go to the config screen and choose Update. In this way the old PS2OS will be updated to the newest version.

Fast launcher feature does not work prefectly; it will fully work when ps2os pc client will be ready.



TECHNICAL NOTES

PS2OS needs a Network Adaptor + HDD installed in order to work.

In order to grant the correct functioning of the USB Pen Drive:

- If you run PS2OS from a PC through ps2client + ps2link 1.23 you have to put USBD.IRX file in the directory where you launch PS2OS.
- If you run PS2OS from DEV1 or CD-ROM you have to put the USBD.IRX file in the mc0:/PS2OSCFG/ directory.

This file can be found in Naplink CD or inside some cd demos/games. It' very important that the files is named USBD.IRX in capital letters. If this operation (capitalization) won't be made, mass: unit won't be available.
Gracias x las respuestas, pero me ha surgido otra duda :P
Al final yhe conseguido arrankar el KL en casa de un colega con chip y no he visto ningun error al copiar losa rchivos y efectivamente el tamaño de system de la memory se ha grandado pero no parece k haga efecto :S Yo enciendo la ps2 con la MC y el PAd solo y deberia arrankar sin hacer nada desde la memory? :S esk estar estan desde del archivo system de la MC, pero ni a mi ni a mi colega le ha arrankado nada.
Recuerda que hay 2 archivos importantes que son el TITLE.DB el cual es donde radican las claves SLUS/SCUS/SLES, etc de los discos de PSX que arrancaran el exploit y el BOOT.ELF que es simplemente el programa que queramos que arranque al meter el disco de PSX.

Por ejemplo si quieres que arranque el PS2OS el archivo se llama PS2OS.ELF, lo renombras a BOOT.ELF, si quieres que sea el KL el archivo KL**.ELF lo renombras BOOT.ELF.

Ahora si, cuando metas un CD de PSX cuya clave este en el title.db arrancara el programa de la MC.
Pero si tengo chip tb tengo k hacer el metodo de meter un cd de psx de los k esten en el title? tenia entendido k sin chip no hacia falta :S:S

PD: me respondo a mi mismo despues de leerme de nuevo el tutorial del KL U_U eso me pasa x no leer bien las cosas :P
Ahora ya lo tengo claro, el cd del KL se instala en la memory y se arranka la ps2 con un cd juego de psx de las firmas del title.
