NEO3 is almost there. We were ready to launch a week ago but decided at the last minute to include the macrovision mod as its only 2 extra (optional) wires with NEO3 - whereas it is 4 wires as a standalone. We have been installing NEO3 in customers machines for over 2 weeks now and the feedback has been amazing. They all understand now that the DVD part of the mod is just a bonus and not a major feature (which some misinformed parties seem to think). We do believe however that the macrovision removal will be a great bonus to all owners of PS2 - especially to our friends in the USA. Of course the new forthcoming PARADOX EA PATCHER will remove the need for the EA METHODS however the wiring will be optional for those who will have patched games and those who will not. It will also enable the testing the boot of future game designs.
At this time PS2 DVD SILVERS and PS2 IMPORT ORIGINALS are not supported but are being debugged as we speak for inclusion at a later date. We do have DVD-R booting successfully with a double swap method (props to gi1) but this is still under investigation.
Over the last few months our team has been analyzing the boot processes of the PS2 and also the new JAP ORIGA chip (props to Marco & Gigi) and we can tell you that the days of the single PIC for PS2 mods are well and truly over. We have to be prepared for more advance devices and technical understanding.
