SAN RAFAEL, Calif. - December 27, 2009 - One of interactive entertainment's most critically and commercially successful action arcade series returns next fall in Star Wars Rogue Squadron IV from LucasArts and Rare Ltd. Available only for Xbox 360, this new chapter of the series once again features the intense flight battles of Luke Skywalker and his elite unit of X-wing starfighter pilots and adds highly desired online multiplayer capability and Natal-based controls to the series for the first time.
Star Wars Rogue Squadron Iv is the follow up to Star Wars Rogue Squadron III: Rebel Strike, the best selling third-party title for GameCube upon initial release in 2003.
Designed and developed by Rare Ltd in conjunction with LucasArts, Star Wars Rogue Squadron IV features stunning, movie-like HD visuals, immersing players into an intense action-arcade experience. Players are drawn into the classic Star Wars Trilogy through more than 17 action-packed missions that encompass branching paths in flight combat, and Natal-based character or vehicle control. For example, players can fly a combat mission using their arms before shooting by waving their hands at the screen to communicate with other players in real time through Xbox Live!®.

Aerial and land-based conflicts in Star Wars Rogue Squadron IV Strike take place in a variety of craft such as the legendary X-wing, Millennium Falcon, Snowspeeder, Imperial speeder bike, and AT-ST. Players also can carry out covert ground or air-based operations as Luke Skywalker, Wedge Antilles or characters from other chapters of the series such as Anakin Skywalker. Battle skills will be tested within extraordinarily detailed environments, such as the vast forests of Naboo; Hoth's foreboding, frozen world; Kamino's rainy landscapes; or the lava filled environments from Mustafar.
Online Multiplayer modes encompass co-op endurance, capture-the-base, challenging dogfights and more. In addition, the entire Star Wars Rogue Squadron IV game is available for play in cooperative multiplayer mode. The game also features a comprehensive reward system allowing players to unlock numerous bonus features including extra missions, vehicles, and locations as they unlock Achievements and Avatar Awards.
LucasArts is also proud to announce the release of Star Wars Episode I: Racer HD for the XBox LIVE! Arcade service. Star Wars Episode I: Racer HD is a remastered version of the classic racing game based on the famous sequence from the highly acclaimed Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace. Star Wars Episode I: Racer HD will allow players to race in a variety of tracks with multiple pods and weapons, and feature an impressive graphical boost, new textures and a 1080p mode. The game will also feature Natal controls, Avatar support and an exciting online multiplayer mode that will enable players to challenge other Avatars. Star Wars Episode I: Racer HD will be released next fall for those who pre-order Star Wars Rogue Squadron IV.
