First, Happy and Safe New year to all!!!

Well, I've been playing around a lot on my xbox trying to use the dash in a "Users/gamers" perspective rather than developer's, and I found a few interesting things. I found that a quick reboot/reset, or doing IGR doesn't free up dynamically allocated memory. This probably caused about 70-80% of the problems with UnleashX. I am guilty of this myself, as I don't free up all used memory before launching another app/game, thinking it would be automatically done but I was wrong. Heck, even the DVD player of the stock dash is guilty of this. To free up all memories, a full shutdown is required. Of course, I can only free the memories I created and the dash requires certain amount of memory. It will crash, no matter what, if the available memory is just isn't enough. That's why running it as a dashboard have fewer problems than as an app.

When my roadtrip is over, I'll start working on a few enhancement and additional features, and of course bug fixes. I'll be adding some memory checks and hopefully, this will remove 50% of the problems when launching the dash as an app. Cleaning up the code should take care of the rest. I will overhaul the code for the background music as well, and hopefully get rid of the problems associated with it. I'll try to make initialization as bullet proof as possible. I have an idea where to look at and hopefully, I don't loose it till the 3rd, when I can start going back to coding again

I will also add a few feature requests, like the ability to toggle preview videos, and the EXECUTE Site command. Perhaps the ability to delete/create folder/unzip via the action command on the menu -but this will take a little longer. These are great and very sensible suggestions, so keep on suggesting, rest assured, they don't go unnoticed. Also, I think I need to remove the code to rotate the orb via the right trigger, a lot of people doesn't seem to like it . It was there on the first release, taken off on the second. I am also in the process of designing (in my mind) the screen adjustment but don't get your hopes that high. I'm trying to do it with a few lines of code and hoping to pull this one real quick.

I got my hand on another xbox so I hope this box lets me catch the problems some of you guys are experiencing, as the one I'm currently using don't exhibit most of them. It's probably the sheer presence of the K files, but I can't tell for sure.

I can't wait to go back. Right now, I'm just trying to enjoy myself with my family. Happy new year to everyone, and to the people here in Xbox-Scene.
