Great art and music capture the gladiatorial spirit, but it's often muddled by a bad interface and horrendous load times.

The art is gorgeous and the facial animations are eerily realistic. Detailed backgrounds are blemished by some bad character models and textures.

Orchestral score sets the tone of the battle sequences, but there aren't enough tracks. Sound effects get repetitive after the 100th battle.

Oddly addictive, the gameplay goes where no strategy RPG has gone before.

If strategy is your thing, you'll play this for a while. There's over 90 hours of gameplay (especially for 100%) -- and multiplayer.
