Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2™ (GRAW2) gets a special Throwback Map Pack, consisting of seven classic maps from Ghost Recon's illustrious history, and now available on Xbox LIVE® Marketplace. All of these maps have upgraded visuals and support for the customizable game modes within GRAW2. Relive some of these classic maps in the latest Ghost Recon installment.
The maps in the pack include:
Bonfires
Bonfires dot a thick mountain forest. The trees break up your sight lines, making it difficult to engage fast-moving targets. But trees can also serve as cover, and if they can't see you, they can't hit you.
Use the trees to your advantage.
Peninsula
A remote village is situated in the midst of a peninsula. Bridges connect various areas of the map, and there are plenty of houses that provide adequate cover. High tension results in in-close fighting.
And then what's behind the next wall?
Mountain Base
Deep in the mountains of Kazakhstan, players will find an abandoned Soviet base. The surrounding terrain holds terrors including narrow passes, dense pine forests, and fortified ridges that can be used as excellent defensive positions.
Mountain Falls
The waterfall cuts its way down a steep mountainside, and the swift river divides the map neatly. Rocky cliffs provide excellent firing positions on enemies below.
That soldier at the top of the waterfall is especially enticing.
Desert Gulch
This map features a rocky desert landscape carved into channels by rivers long since dried out. Ridges overlooking twisting paths make both long-range engagement and close-quarters tactics viable options.
A sticky situation in the heat of the desert.
Fishing Village
A dilapidated urban area eventually reveals a rustic fishing village near the shoreline. Rolling, open terrain, abundant trees, and thick underbrush make careful tactical movement your key to victory.
Jungle Mines
A mining complex set in the jungle of El Salvador features a massive multi-tiered structure dominating the central mine. Use the various levels to wreak havoc on your opponents.

The free Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter™ 2 Throwback Pack 2, now available in Marketplace, consists of seven classic maps from Ghost Recon's illustrious history. In addition to the seven maps, there is a new game mode called "Co-op Exfiltration." All of these maps have upgraded visuals and support all of GRAW 2's thousands of customizable game modes.
Ghost Town
From a map in Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon® 2 Summit Strike, a rural North Korean village surrounds a temple courtyard. Narrow streets and back alleys make for intense close-quarters battles.
Aral Sea
Also from Summit Strike, this map is a forgotten harbor village on the coast of a vast, empty sea. Grounded ships provide sparse cover on the dried seabed dividing the map. The shelter of the docks above makes this map a favorite with marksmen.
District
This map from Summit Strike is a government district of a large Kazakh city. Open city streets make for long-range firefights, while winding alleys create flanking opportunities.
Bunkers
Another map from Summit Strike, these training grounds feature several simulated bunker complexes divided by open ground with intermittent cover. Move quickly from cover to cover to avoid marksmen in the firing positions above.
Rocky Cove
From the original Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter™, this is a coastal area, featuring tidal pools and an imposing central promontory. Beaches are littered with large rocks, and long sight lines invite marksmen to test their skill.
Boneyard
Also from Advanced Warfighter, this is a vehicle graveyard, with rusting aircraft parts and scrap metal piled all around. Tight quarters ensure no one is ever far from the action.
River Depot
This map from Advanced Warfighter is an old, abandoned storage facility, overrun by the surrounding jungle and repurposed for military use. Deteriorating railways run the length of the map, connecting two gates on higher ground to a warehouse near the river.
New Game Mode
In the new Co-op Exfiltration mode, work together to protect A.I. officers as you escort them
