ModalCarcass is also a dynamic simulation of the carcass, but does so as a superposition of a bunch of single degree of freedom vibrational modes.
FlexiCarcass is a finite element simulation of the carcass (sometimes called quasi, since for speed it uses some simpler element models than FEM engineering applications, although still technically finite elements none the less). It does make some assumptions, for speed, that ElementCarcass does not.
Both models are capable of wobbling hitting curbs. Modal is harder to tune, but I still think that once you have a good Modal, you are pretty close to what you'll get from a Flexi...at least for the bigger cars. Although I am less certain of that now than before. The FC's post peak slip angle level of control (which I personally think may be too much, but that very is easy to reign in) is something I am not sure Modal can quite do (yet). Note that I did not work hard on the parameters to get that. It just happened. But I did dial it out easily in an experiment (in general, it is far easier to make an 'easy' tire more difficult, than to make a 'difficult' tire easier, so going in this direction was a nice change).
But I think maybe I can get the the bottom of what makes Flexi do that, and maybe we can tweak Modal to be capable of that too. That might amount to trying the parameters in a way we have not done yet, or it may require additional vibrational modes. I have hints that it is similar to Modal's 'twist' mode, but without the artifacts that Modal gets (messed up donuts, etc). So maybe improving the twist mode will be the clue. Just speculating.
The instructions for this round are important. This is a more intense round, but a particularly important one for me.
For all phases, use normal/default tire pressures. It is worth mentioning to use Free Practice with visual damage only. Avoid using exploits in these tests if you know of any (but post any exploits you know of).
Phase I
First, compare tires I, M, S, and R. These tires are all very close to each other. The differences are subtle, but they are kind of important to determine what direction a particular aspect of Flexi tires go for the rest of Project Cars. Please double check anything you think you notice. Do NOT touch A or B until you are done with this part. Make your notes, not worrying about favorites. For this phase, just point out differences, not preferences. Also, it is fine if you do not notice any differences. Like I said, it is subtle, and it is possible your style is not sensitive to the aspects these tires differ in. Please don't note differences unless you are pretty sure they are not placebo. Getting signal out of noise is going to be critical for this phase. If you cannot feel any difference, just pick any one of these 4 and go to phase III.
Phase II
Pick a favorite from I, M, S, and R. Now focus on why you like one more than another. Try to prefer what seems most realistic if you have a basis for what realistic is.
Phase III
Compare A, B, and the favorite you picked from phase II. Do not prefer a tire because it is fastest. (We already know A is fastest). Pick based on realism, if you have a reference for that, or most "natural", "fun", etc, otherwise. The more notes, the better. The notes are actually more important than the pick.
Extra Credit, mess with these, the anti-oscillation parameters:
AntiOscillationAttack: How fast the anti-oscillation kicks in.
AntiOscillationDecay: How fast the anti-oscillation fades.
AntiOscillationFloor: The anti-oscillation will not decrease the FFB signal below this (0.0 to 1.0)

Vaya si tiene precio asequible, pero igual se queda justa para el pcars ajajaj. Que manera de timar a la peña estos de nvidia.

Tienes activado la sincronizacion vertical en el panel de Nvidia y activado tambien en el juego ?

probe activando y desactivando el vsync del juego.
Lo unico que me falta probar es el vsync colocarlo en adaptable en el panel nvidia, pero no encontre el ejecutable del juego, donde lo pone steam???

Today I finished the first pass on Steam session management. It has not been fully tested but all basic features should work:
-Creating sessions
-Searching for sessions, with optional filtering
-Joining sessions, utilizing Steam lobby "chat" to communicate user details with the host and other members
-Handling events when other members join or leave a session
-Host functions: modify session attributes, state and "joinable" flag, communicate the changes to all session members
-Kicking session members
-Peer to peer networking
This means that Steam-based multiplayer mostly works and we're really close to getting it fully working, at which point we will make it the default MP mode to get it tested, then turn off DS-based multiplayer a bit later. Meanwhile, you can test Steam MP by adding "-steammp" argument to the game's command-line (but you probably won't have much success with more than 2 people).

Casi no se ve la imagen . Yo juego casi desde siempre con la opción de movimiento en 9 0 10 y Gravedad en 59 60, y desde hace unos días e puesto estoy usando la vista de Helmet Cam pero con el casco oculto y la verdad que la sensación de inmersión es una pasada, con respecto a los coches coincido con que el M1 es uno de los mas reales(para mi), el capri me encanta el sonido pero últimamente es mas guerrero que antes se va demasiado, y otro que me encanta y que da sensaciones de llevar un coche por las tremendas inercias es el Ford mk, aunque según me dijeron este coche es muy liviano y acá da la sensación de ser un barco muy pesado.
Denis a ver si nos das un poco de info de esto ultimo de los servidores de Steam, es la info de la buil de hoy, a que se refiere?
