En la web de Zima han puesto información interesante sobre cómo parchear varios juegos de EA manualmente cambiando unos valores hexadecimales. Ésto podría ser muy útil con las versiones españolas en las q no funcionaban los parches. Lo pego akí por si lo kitan:

The examples we are going to list below DO WORK for the specified titles, but be aware that some games have more complex HEX modifications such as those found in Gradius 3 & 4 and X-Squad. Knowing that, we will now post how Mookie of AdrenalinUK has done a few of the simpler ones below.
F1 Championship Season 2000 (PAL)
1) If you want to modify the game yourself, read in your game using CDR WIN so that you have a BIN file.
2) Load the BIN file into a good HEX EDITOR and search for the following HEX String:
0200 8280 0600 4350 3B00 043C 0000
The HEX value you are interested in is 4350 which needs changing to 4354
3) Modify the HEX accordingly and save it.
4) Write your BIN file back out using CDR WIN and you should find you can boot your F1 Championship Season 2000 using your normal back up boot method.
FIFA 2001 (PAL)
1) If you want to modify the game yourself, read in your game using CDR WIN so that you have a BIN file.
2) Load the BIN file into a good HEX EDITOR and search for the following HEX String:
1200 0324 0600 4350 0100 1324
The HEX value you are interested in is 4350 which needs changing to 4354
3) Modify the HEX accordingly and save it.
4) Write your BIN file back out using CDR WIN and you should find you can boot your FIFA 2001 using your normal back up boot method.
SSX (USA)
1) If you want to modify the game yourself, read in your game using CDR WIN so that you have a BIN file.
2) Load the BIN file into a good HEX EDITOR and search for the following HEX String:
1200 0324 0600 4350 0100 1224
The HEX value you are interested in is 4350 which needs changing to 4354
3) Modify the HEX accordingly and save it. 4) Write your BIN file back out using CDR WIN and you should find you can boot your SSX using your normal back up boot method.
Well, now you're likely catching on to finding the easy ones thanks to Mookie of AdrenalinUK. We will now post his "starter" EA Modification Table below:

Up until NBA Live 2001, NBA Street, and Tiger Woods 2001 only the SLUS file was modified to get the games booting GREAT, but the preceding three games *may* have additional byte changes which are NOT listed in the chart! An example of such a thing is based on mOz and dAZZOR's workings which was brought to our attention by our forum MODerator CReaTuReZ as displayed below:
Ready To Rumble Boxing: Round 2 (PAL)
IOPRP20.IMG is actual file that needs modification in this title.
From HIEW this is from ORIGINAL IOPRP20.IMG file:
08 00 E0 03-20 00 BD 27-40 BF 02 3C-0F 20 42 34
00 00 42 90-08 00 E0 03-00 00 00 00-40 BF 02 3C
0A 20 42 34-00 00 42 90-08 00 E0 03-00 00 00 00
From HIEW this is from PATCHED IOPRP20.IMG file:
08 00 E0 03-20 00 BD 27-40 BF 02 3C-0F 20 42 34
12 00 02 24-08 00 E0 03-00 00 00 00-40 BF 02 3C
0A 20 42 34-00 00 42 90-08 00 E0 03-00 00 00 00
Based on that we can deduce:
0h (original) = 12h (patched)
42h (original) = 2h (patched)
90h (original) = 24h (patched)
