Sacado de la nueva revista de OXM (guiri)
-The game looks absolutely incredible, on the first page on the left side there are 4 photos of a team member firing an RPG into a building from aim, beginning of shot, to rocket halfway there, to impact. It looks stunning.
-Filp the page and you will discover that the game will be re-enacting Operation Market Garden as a sucessful mission. "It called for paratroppers to secure a series of bridges in Holland so that tanks could roll into Germany and stomp it."
-Baker and Hartsock will again be leading the crew and will both be heading recon squads which are described as "advance forces which that handle special missions". You can only play as baker.
-MikeZ on the forums considers them to be completely badass
-R on the helmets does in fact stand for recon for anyone who didnt already know
-Playing as Baker you will be dropped into to Eindhoven
-Randy comments that the enviorment is more epic than Normandy
-Jeremy describes how seamlessly integrating gameplay and story is the goal of Hells Highway
-No load times
-No transitions between cinematics and action
-There will be "brotherhood moments" in which terrified Germans will be reacting to anything from grenades to the helmet being knocked off of their comrade
-OXM refers to the game with the phrase "a painstaking push for realism"
"BiA is populated with other squads and civilians that aid you"
-You now have a 3rd team that can be considired specials teams, granting the use of "heavy machineguns, bazookas, mortars and a radioman which calls in airstrikes."
-This 3rd team could be used, as in example to provide a flank or to stop an enemies attempt to flanking
-Everything seems to be destructible
-"You have the ability to order a fireteam from point A to B by scrambling over a wall in-between"
-"The better you aim, the more your target comes into focus as the background blurs."
-Multiplayer will support deathmatch and team deathmatch while giving orders
-Matchmaking will automatically generate squads based on skill level and experience
-"Much like Halo you can form your own squads and even large-scale units like platoons (or clans)."
-No team size seems to be specified as of yet HOWEVER they say they will be sad if its less than 32 players (for those who dont get it at least 32 people in a team)
-Stances have been added to AI characters, basically visual cues based on the situation or mission you are in. The magazine demonstrates this with 4 screenshots of AI acting relaxed, patrolling, acting stealthy, & in combat. This also applies when an enemy AI character is in a particular stance. If a character appears to be relaxed, you can "inflict a massive casualty before they have a chance to respond."
-Gearbox is using a "first person body" approach to tell if your character has any more grenades left, and I can only assume that it will also show any wounds that might be present from battle.
-Hells Highway will feature motion blur, lush smoke, highly detailed facial animations and skin tones to make characters "warm and believable"
Gearbox seems to hate the shiny feel of games
-"World War II was the biggest war ever: the world was at stake. It was decided there whether we'd be ruled by facist dictators, or whether we'd be free. And the tactics were very different from modern warfare. Besides, we're going down a path we're not done with."- Randy Pitchford
-In Eindhoven you clear a path for Hartsock's squad to get the innocent out of harm's way..unless the Nazis get there first. Pictured below that is the screenshot of the soldier holding the boy posted on this forum the last week.
