Symptom: RSOD while booting upgrade disc
Problem: Installation with modchip was fine, in this case the problem was actually the burnt upgrade CD-R. The upgrade image was not written correctly resulting in corrupt data on the CD-R.
Solution: Make sure you use up-to-date burning software, which knows how to handle BIN/CUE images (2352bytes/sector). We recommend Nero. This is a common problem, please make sure your burning software can handle the cd images properly!

Flashing the Bios
If you've installed a DMS4 modchip then you have to flash the bios before you can do anything else. To do that you need to download Toxic Bios 1.1 OR Toxic OS .1. The 1.1 bios is for DMS4 Lite and the .1 OS is for the DMS4 Pro. The .1 OS has the flash for the bios incorporated in it. You CANNOT use the .1 OS for the DMS4 Lite. After you finished downloading and unzipping the files, you need to burn the image to a cdr. Use Nero for this as it works best. In Nero, find"burn image" then select the .cue file and hit record. Don't record it at the fastest setting , instead pick a slow one so the data writing is better. Once done, you should have three files on the CDR, they are:
1. system ; special dial extension
2. TB_UPG11.ELF
3. ZZZ.ZZZ

If you see a file with a .cue extension then you've burnt the cd incorrectly.
Once done correctly,
Turn the unit on, put the cd in and it should read it and from there you will be able to update the bios. When you are flashing the bios, make sure you have taken out all your flash cards as this seems to cause some problems. It's very important not to turn off the machine or interupt it as its updating. Once done you should see the Toxic logo on your screen and your set to go!

Hola otra vez, pero es que no me sale ni la pantalla de la bios para poder cargar la bios, y cuando temo el cd para cargarlo, como me arranca la bios e siempre me indica que no carga ese cd.

Lo he mirado mil veces y esta todo bien conectado, tendre que testearlo con el panel pero no tengo ni el puto cable ni la pila.

Haber si despues de todo hay que hacer cualquier chorada para acceder a l chip.

Tengo una pregunta que me esta comiendo la cabeza desde hace mucho tiempo. El dms4ezi necesita hacerle la reduccion de voltage o no????Tengo uno y necesito saverlo para hacersela o no. Gracias

Hola, yo tengo una V9 y estoy pensando ponerle este chip, he mirado la página http://www.dms3.com y no dice nada que sea necesario realizar la reducción de voltaje a la consola.

Creo que hace falta acerle la reduccion , es cortar una pista .

A todas las v9,v10 y v 11 que se le ponga chip hay que hacerle reducción. El problema no está en el chip que se le ponga, sino que vas a estar usando backups, que fuerzan más la lente, con la consiguiente muerte del LA o la lente.

Lo dicho, si vas a usar backups, tienes que hacerle reducción(bueno, si quieres estar seguro de que no petará!)
