Pequeño metroidvania que tenía en la lista de pendientes desde hace años. Me ha decepcionado bastante, para que engañarnos. Como metroidvania se queda corto ya no solo en duración sino en opciones también. Es simpático y se deja jugar pero poco más. El acceso a los menús para asignar objetos es muy malo, supongo que no hicieron bien la conversión a PC, pero es un engorro.

Tenía muchas ganas de que me gustara este juego, de verdad, y es el peor que he jugado, o al menos el peor que me he terminado este año. Un dato: según los logros de XBOX, el 52% de jugadores terminaron el primer capítulo, y sólo el 6% llegaron al final del juego, y esto sin ser un juego experimental ni narrativo o particularmente arriesgado.
En resumen, un envoltorio precioso (lo es, realmente, las cosas como son. El 4 que le doy es SOLO por eso) para un juego planísimo, con un combate ortopédico y pésimamente diseñado (pese a que es la única mecánica jugable), una historia bastante básica y sencillita, y nula exploración y puzzles.
Una pena.

Desconocía por completo la existencia de este juego y estudio (No Code) y gracias a un hilo en este foro descubrí Stories Untold. Éste es el tipo de juego que me suele llamar la atención; juegos que plantean algo diferente, un gameplay distinto fuera de lo habitual que tras llegar a los créditos te dejan pensando sobre lo que has vivido e intentas juntar las piezas. Stories Untold nos ofrece 4 pequeñas historias, la duración de éstas no suele superar los 30-50 minutos, así que es un juego que te puedes ventilar fácilmente de una buena sentada. El gameplay es muy básico y sencillo; descifrar pequeños puzles usando nuestro entorno o en ocasiones el gameplay es una aventura de texto (género que jamás había probado), y casi siempre en cada historia se nos presenta una situación de tensión o incertidumbre sobre lo que está ocurriendo (al final todo termina teniendo una explicación). Es un juego que si te llama la atención lo mejor es jugarlo sabiendo lo mínimo sobre él. Ahora sin duda pienso embarcarme en el siguiente juego del estudio (Observation) que estoy seguro que no defraudará.

En su momento lo jugué en otra plataforma y me gustó. De hecho alguna cancion de su banda sonora la tengo en una lista de relax.

Por menos de 2 euros que estaba de oferta he vuelto.

Ufff lo recordaba mejor. Puzzles sencillos sencillos e historia atropellada. Lo mejor la voz en off y algunas canciones.

Jugabilidad

Sin duda la jugabilidad es su gran punto fuerte, es un plataformas mezclado de FPS, tus armas son unas cartas que recojes por el escenario que no solamente te permiten matar a tus enemigos sino que cada una de ellas tiene una habilidad secundaria para descartarlas, de esa manera pierdes el arma pero por ejemplo tienes un salto extra en el aire o un dash. Eso hace que la jugabilidad sea una pasada y se disfruta muchisimo

Historia

Bueno, aqui es algo que puedes saltarte completamente, incluso puede romper el ritmo del juego, no digo que este mal ni mucho menos pero muy secundario para mi

Dificultad

Es un juego que se basa en el prueba y error, completarlo no es algo imposible pero hay escenarios que se te pueden complicar, cuando haces el final secreto hay unos desafios mas dificiles pero como hay que conseguirlo recogiendo unos coleccionales no lo he hecho

Cuestiones tècnicas

Tiene muchisima personalidad, los moldeados en 3D son algo cutres pero en general se ve muy bonito todo, en Switch he tenido alguna caida puntual pero nada grave

Duración

Aqui depende de la habilidad de cada uno de vosotros, a mi me ha durado poco mas de 10 h porque tambien he leido los dialogos y he intentado sacar minimo oro en todas. Luego aparecen otros modos extras y bueno, siempre quedara la opcion de mejorarte a ti mismo

Conclusión

Una excelente sorpresa que me he encontrado, le seguia la pista desde que se anunció pero lo que acabo convenciendome fue la critica, pensaba pillarlo en un futuro pero al final ha caido y para mi es uno de los candidatos a goty de este año. Llevaba una racha de juegos que no me enganchaban y por fin encontré uno que no podia parar de pensar en él, asi que muy contento y super recomendado

Bueno, pues me apetecía darle un par de vueltas al mejor remake jamás creado (nada más y nada menos que por su creador original) de la historia de los videojuegos. Una pasada en normal con Chris y otra en Supervivencia con Jill rescatando a la peñita y tan feliz. Se me hace muy pesao el modo cuchillo y el modo invisible así que adios platino.
Altamente recomendable jugarlo al menos una vez, perderse un poco con las llaves, desesperarse con la aparición de los hunter y pasar algo de miedo con unos buenos cascos.
Para jugadores noveles recomiendo jugarlo en "fácil" que es el segundo nivel de dificultad que viene por defecto.

Hay mucha gente que ha criticado el juego para mal pero a mi me ha parecido un juegazo, una mezcla entre un hitman descafeinado y un GTA. Es cierto que le faltan más cosas como aviones, helicópteros, más fauna, un mundo con más eventos dinámicos con narrativa, etc... Los DLC's también le dan un toque más lineal que le suma puntos, además de ser muy entretenidos. Quizás le hubiera faltado un apartado online de mundo abierto aprovechando el contenido del juego que da para mucha rejugabilidad en equipo.

Excelente muestra de lo que puede ofrecer la industria cuando se limita a coger pocas mecánicas pero bien depuradas. Desde su reveal trailer le he seguido la pista a este juego y ha cumplido con todas mis expectativas.

Es un juego pausado, que premia tu paciencia, un beat ‘em up que se aleja del genero precisamente buscando otro ritmo, uno más cercano a las artes marciales más puras. En este "tu contra el barrio" es más importante conocer al enemigo que a ti mismo. La muerte es el eje de todo, vas a morir, mucho a decir verdad, pero el fallo te hará más fuerte y experimentando. Los retos que te van planteando a lo largo de sus 5 niveles se van superando mediante la prueba, el depurado y por fin, el clímax. Lo que al principio parece errático y caótico acaba pareciendo un baile, aprovechando cada debilidad del enemigo y exprimiendo tus combos al máximo.

La historia es clásica, contada mil veces, la venganza y como te consume, pero aquí es una premisa para poder repartir de lo lindo en unos escenarios preciosos, muy bien recreados, con una paleta de colores muy bien elegida y unos modelos minimalistas, que no simples.

El juego es exigente, la curva de aprendizaje se hace algo cuesta arriba en cierto momento pero si insistes y no claudicas acabaras alcanzando una conexión con tu personaje bastante lograda y momentos bastante épicos.

Unpacking: Uno de los indies del año pasado y para muchos, el mejor juego del año. Tenía muchas ganas de jugarlo y aproveché el Game pass para ello. Mecánicas sencillas, música agradable y a través de clicks sobre los objetos vamos deshaciendo las cajas de una mudanza. Sorprende lo fácil que es verse representado en los objetos de la protagonista, en los recuerdos propios llevados al juego y se convierte en toda una experiencia empática. Eché de menos una evolución mayor en el juego y sufrí de las expectativas positivas que había leído/visto. Aún así, un juego narrativo, corto y que nos introduce en la experiencia de juego de una forma muy natural.

Slay the Spire: Después de unos meses jugando (y muriendo) por fin, conseguí ver los créditos del Slay. Un juego de cartas adictivo, con un diseño artístico peculiar y con un gran alto de estrategia. Uno de los imprescindibles si te gustan los juegos de cartas y que en la Switch se juega de cine.

El juego se ve alucinante, es de lo más tocho que he visto en esta generación, por lo menos la zona de la ciudad, eso si, el mundo no es como el de un juego de rockstar, la ciudad y sus npc's están simplemente de adorno, algo que si cambiasen en el diseño de un futuro juego sería alucinante.

El gameplay es bastante ortopédico, falta implementación en primera persona, así el juego se ve brutal.
Falta la cámara del coche decente que es la desde el volante, alucinante como se ve todo reflejado en el cristal.

El diseño de los personajes es bastante meh para lo que impresiona la ciudad, espero que en un próximo juego lleven las cosas a otro nivel, hace nada take two adquirió una de las compañías más punteras en animación facial, así que espero que eso se vea reflejado en un juego de mafia.

Un juego sobre desempacar tras una mudanza, con un gameplay simple y que se apoya en una narrativa implícita, un click gratificante y un cuidado apartado sonoro.

Sobra decir que aparece en cualquier lista de mejores indies del año pasado, a poco que te muevas entre foros y podcast habrás escuchado en más de una recomendación, que es fresco, que es diferente, muchos cumplidos sobre su narrativa, etc. y todo ello es cierto pero en mi caso no me ha convencido.

Más allá de sus primeros minutos, la mecánica se agota, no le veo interés salvo terminar la historia que se esconde detrás de cada mudanza. Eso se lo reconozco, pero creo que un juego así de corto debe ser divertido, y este (para mi) no lo es.

Poco que comentar ante un juegazo semejante. Sin duda en contexto es un 10 enorme y en general merece seguir siendolo (aunque me gustan más los Marios posteriores como Galaxy u Odyssey o los Crash de la misma época). Todo lo que hace grande a Mario en 3d ya está aquí presente. La respuesta a los mandos es excelente, de locos para ser de 1996, apostaría que fue de los primeros juegos en introducir el movimiento en 360º... Los niveles son variados y divertidos pero... tengo que mencionar que la cámara puede empañar la experiencia de juego. En general se coloca bien pero en algunos niveles con zonas pequeñas es puñetera como ella sola y eso me impide decir que es un juego perfecto y recomendable a todo el mundo. Ahora bien, tampoco es un desastre de cámara, hay que saber convivir con ella.

Lo que si recomiendo para todo el que tenga PC es que lo juegue mediante el port que sacó la comunidad hace unos años. Es una absoluta virgería lo que se puede hacer con este port. En mi caso he usado la versión render96 que no introduce cambios en la jugabilidad (salvo una leve mejora en la cámara que no tiene problema en atravesar pareces invisibles que en la versión emulada pueden fastidiar bastante) pero que gráficamente hace lucir al juego como uno de Gamecube. Además tiene un menú de hacks en el que puedes liberar la cámara para usarla con el segundo stick pero apenas le he dado uso porque no quería alterar la experiencia de juego original.

THE WALKING DEAD: MICHONNE: 6
Voy a decirlo de entrada, a mí lo que hizo Telltale Games, al principio, me gusto muchísimo. Después, claro, agotaron la fórmula, pero su primer Walking Dead me sigue pareciendo uno de los mejores juegos de su generación, y tras jugar luego al segundo de la saga, me sigue pareciendo una delicia narrativa, no al mismo nivel, pero sí con una historia bien entretejida y personajes realistas y bien recreados. Michonne aún no o había jugado y por fin me puse a ello. Probé otros juegos de Telltale posteriores (Batman y Game of Thrones) y me parecieron flojísimos.
Con Michonne Telltale se ubica entre la genialidad de la saga TWD y la purria de los demás (que he jugado). Coge a uno de los mejores personajes que hay en los cómics (no vi la serie) y construye en torno a él una nueva aventura argumentalmente sencilla pero cruda y emotiva, con un arco coherente y unos personajes, todos, muy bien escritos y definidos. El problema es que la aventura es cortita y había, claro, que vender al menos 3 capítulos por que esa vaca aún tenía leche, así que se completa con visiones del pasado que tiene Michonne que, si bien teóricamente nos va a invitar a explorar los traumas del personaje, estando carentes de contexto y desarrollo, y lo único que hacen es cortar el ritmo de una manera salvaje. Y pueden suponer, fácilemente, una cuarta parte del juego.
Es una pena, por que habrían sido dos capitulitos redondos, pero sigue estando por encima de lo demás que jugué de la compañía.

Nobody Saves the World (Series X)

Uno de los indies que más esperaba para este año, tanto por lo interesante de la propuesta como por la confianza en el estudio. Y no he podido terminar más contento. Buenos gráficos y estilo artístico, gran variedad de personajes y una jugabilidad que funciona a la perfección. Poco más se le puede pedir a un juego de este estilo.

El juego cuenta con un mapa estilo "Zelda cenital", donde vas descubriendo y desbloqueando mazmorras. Un planteamiento clásico. Las dos novedades vienen de la mano de un gran elenco de transformaciones que usaremos para combatir, cada una con sus propias habilidades, y el sistema de subida de nivel. En vez de ser el clásico sistema por experiencia, es necesario ir completando misiones relacionadas con el combate para progresar. Esta parte me ha gustado, ya que da mucha variedad.

Completamente recomendado y disponible en Game Pass.

Relic Hunters Rebels (Android)

No suelo meter juegos de móvil, pero este me ha gustado más de lo habitual. Un twin stick shooter que incluye Netflix en su catálogo con un buen gameplay y un sistema de progresión de armas que engancha bastante. Hasta completar el juego todo funciona de maravilla y no se notan los vestigios de los juegos free to play de móviles. Niveles cortos, buena variedad de armas y bastantes enemigos. Falta un poco de calidad en los jefes y en la segunda vuelta se hace insoportable el farmeo.

Tunic (Series X)

Otro de los indies muy esperados este año y es toda una virguería de juego. Me encanta la forma de tratar al jugador, ya que no hay una flecha que te señala continuamente el camino y la información que te dan es críptica. Ese manual que vas completando es una idea maravillosa. En lo jugable, bebe directamente de los Zelda clásicos con un punto más de dificultad. Algunos jefes son todo un reto.

El mapa es variado, interesante y con algunas trampas visuales para el jugador. Hay caminos ocultos por la perspectiva en muchas zonas. Los gráficos low-poly le sientan muy bien, creando un mundo bonito. Otro juego mu recomendable y disponible en Game Pass.

    Lo he jugado en coop con la novia. Ha sido una grata experiencia, sobre todo al jugarlo juntos. Ella no juega a nada, y encontrar juegos de este tipo o el IT takes two para jugar en cooperativo molan. 4 personajes cada uno, y la mayoría muertos. 🤣 Especialmente cuando en la recta final ella era quien tenía que disparar.

    Guión del juego flojillo, pero engancha. Un poco x debajo de los Until Dawn. Aún así una experiencia recomendable.

Un pack algo caro pero muy disfrutable. Le han faltado unos pocos meses de desarrollo para pulirlo más, ponerle opciones de juego, de pantalla, pulir bugs en Sonic 3 (bugs inapreciables si nos has masterizado el juego antes) y demás... Ojalá le den cera y saquen un futuro Sonic Origins Plus como pasó con Mania, con contenido extra real.
Creo que en PC hay bastantes problemas, en PS5, salvo lo comentado, se juega muy bien.

Yakuza 4 (PS4): Bastante mejor que el 3 que me pasé el año pasado. Muy divertido, mi personaje preferido ha sido Tanimura, al que la gente odia. Me gusta su estilo de lucha.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order (PS4): Según van pasando los años me voy haciendo más conservador y me da más pereza ponerme con sagas/juegos nuevos y aprenderme sus mecánicas. Con este al principio me costó porque tampoco es un paseo, los enemigos siempre dan guerra aunque sean masillas genéricos (sobre todo al principio) y situarte en el mapa durante las primeras horas es complicado. Poco a poco le he ido cogiendo el gusto porque sabía que me iba a gustar y efectivamente he disfrutado mucho con él. Pena de los rascazos y congelaciones que sufre el juego porque tampoco es un portento técnico. Muy buen juego.

Pedazo de RPG, vale que la historia no es lo mejor, pero la banda sonora, diseño de escenarios y sobre todo un sistema de combate por turnos excelente, hace que destaque por encima de la media.

Es una aventura gráfica entretenida, la historia es una fumada bastante grande. Se nota mucho que está hecha por un estudio de bajo presupuesto, la falta de escenas cinematográficas y las pocas que ponen son cortas, cutres y en 3D, la falta de doblaje, bugs en los textos y son molestos tal y como los posicionan, los personajes son 3D y de lejos cumplen bien pero de cerca se ven raros y rompen ese preciosismo de los fondos dibujados.

Las frases de la combinación con objetos no son muy creativas, por ejemplo, si le metes un cuchillazo a un personaje pues no suelen decir una frase graciosa ni nada de eso, se suele repetir siempre la misma frase para casi todo.

Buen juegazo, me quedo con el primero que fue de mis favoritos de la generación PS3/360. Pero me da la sensación de que no se ha hablado nada de este juego y la verdad es que merece más atención. Aunque no tiene un "girito" argumental como en el primero, creo que es el juego en el que más veces he dicho "no me jodas, no quiero hacer esto", pero también quieres saber qué le va a pasar a los personajes (y aun quiero saber más!). Jugablemente no recuerdo grandes cambios con respecto al primero, y es bastante largo para el tipo de juego que es.
