Kubuntu 7.04 y samba: Sólo me veo a mí mismo

Hola amigos. Acabo de actualizarme Kubuntu a la 7.04 pero ahora no me funciona la red local. al acceder a mi grupo de trabajo (piso) sólo me veo a mí mismo y no a los demás pcs (windows). El resto de ordenadores se ve entre ellos pero no a mí. Vamos, que estoy en un grupo de trabajo de otra dimensión xD.

Es más, es que tengo un windows xp virtualizado con vmware configurado con bridget network y en la red de mi piso se ve "pcvirtual" pero no el que contiene a éste...

Sé que es un problema del archivo conf, pero no logro averiguar qué ocurre, así que os lo pego tal cual...

Supongo que el nombre del grupo de trabajo no es case sensitive. A ver si alguien puede echarme una mano. Gracias a todos de antebrazo xD
Qué raro, tienes el servicio samba arrancado?
$ sudo /etc/init.d/samba restart

pero sigue haciéndome lo mismo...
Tienes que poner en el conf

Na ahora en serio, prueba a desconectar el firewall de windows.
ein? El firewall de windows? si uso Kubuntu... Es éste el que está totalmente aislado. Los demás se ven entre ellos. Y a mí me funcionaba con kubuntu antes de la actualización a feisty (reinstalación)

tienes comentado esto

si no usas pass para autentificarte desde la red, cambialo por esto

security = share

y coloca en cada apartado que quieras compartir

browseable = yes

prueba y dinos q tal, si no te funciona te paso mi fichero de configuracion.

Nada, sigue igual. Yo meto smb://piso/ en konqueror y sigo apareciendo solamente yo... Si pudieras mandarme tu archivo de configuración te lo agradecería.

El protocolo de samba es un poco pesado (a parte de askeroso...), te aconsejo que para probar la conectividad entre equipos, pongas smb://IP.DEL.EQUIPO.COMPARTIDO/
y de esa manera te saldra lo que el equipo con esa ip tenga compartido en la red.

SUERTE
Eso sí que lo había probado antes, y SÍ funciona. Lo que pasa es que me gustaría estar dentro de un grupo de trabajo, porque así mis compañeros de piso, que usan windows, también pueden acceder a mi equipo desde su "Entorno de red".
Espero impaciente a que alguien me pase su archivo de configuración de samba para que yo lo pueda probar. Seguro que tiene que ser algún parámetro que tenga mal escrito (he oído que hay case sensitive)...
