Final Fight: Double Impact (XBox Live, PlayStation Network) - North America and Europe in "Spring, 2010."
Monster Hunter Tri brings the franchise to the Wii for the first time outside of Japan, and introduces underwater monster-hunting. It also includes 4-player online co-op, 2-player co-op arena quests, and several control schemes. The game has already sold a million copies in Japan, and is getting a big marketing push by Nintendo in both North America and Europe.
Super Street Fighter IV brings new characters, new user-selectable Ultra Combos, new online modes, improved matchmaking, and the return of the classic bonus stages from Street Fighter II. Capcom is calling this "the ultimate vision of Street Fighter."
Lost Planet 2 picks up 10 years where the original Lost Planet: Extreme Conditions, and brings new environments, new weapons, new vital suits, and new larger-than-life bosses. Players control different characters across six interconnected episodes, with multiple endings depending on your actions. Lost Planet 2 will also have 4-player co-op over PSN or XBox Live.
Final Fight: Double Impact is a 2-for-1 revamped retro release including the classic Capcom arcade beat-'em-ups Final Fight (1989) and Magic Sword (1990).
Final Fight is the first appearance of both Guy and Cody, who are making a comeback in Super Street Fighter IV, and it is also the first appearance of Mayor Mike Hagger, the greatest mayor to appear in any video game (seen delivering this news himself in the photo above).
Magic Sword stars "the Brave One," an unnamed barbarian who must hack his way through 51 floors of goons to defeat the evil lord Drokmar. You also have the assistance of up to 8 partners, such as "Big Man" and "Lizardman." In fact, Drokmar is the only guy with a name, which hopefully makes it easier to find him and kill him.
More news on each of these games will be available closer to their release dates.
