Esta sección contiene una lista de títulos que o bien estaban en desarrollo o bien anunciados oficialmente pero que o nunca se lanzaron o se cambiaron tanto que confundieron a muchos.

USA

Iron Rain (US) - Sega/Game Arts
Es el actual Gungriffon. Sega planeó inicialmente llamarlo "Iron Rain" , por lo que no es un juego sino un título no comercializados.

Policenauts (US) - Konami
Lanzado en Japón.
Cancelado indefinidamente. Konami dio como explicación que fue una decisión del departamento de marketing. Se alegó que fue debido a que el personaje principal fumaba, aunque la mayoría piensa que fue una mala excusa ya que hay un montón de juegos en los que aparecen personajes fumando (Metal Gear Solid por ejemplo).
Otra teoría más siniestra es que Sony rechazó la versión PSX al ser un juego de sprites no 3D.
La tercera teoría es que Konamí pensó que no daría ganancias suficientes como para hacer la conversión.
La traducción quedó al 75% e incluso la versión PSX se canceló. Como Konami tiene prohibido traducir sus juegos a otras compañías no hay muchas esperanzas de ver este juego.
No se si Konami pensó lanzarlo en Europa como hizo con el Snatcher.

Sonic X-Treme (Todas las regiones) - Sega
Sega pensó que no sería rival para sus competidores de 32 bits (Mario 64 y Crash Bandicoot), y se canceló.

Algunos especulan con que se reprogramó para dar lugar al "Sonic Adventure" de la Dreamcast, pero no parece lógico ya que el Sonic X-Treme lo empezó el Sega Technical Institute en USA mientras que el Adventure es un producto de Sonic Team.
Otros juegos que ya estaban en fase de programación son Major Damage y Abuse.

Depende de a quien preguntes. Sega cree que se vendieron cerca de 2 millones de consolas en norte américa, mientras que Next Generation lo rebaja a 1.6 millones (datos de diciembre de 1997) e IGN lo baja aún más a 1.2 millones.
En Japón se vendieron entre 5 y 6 millones.
En total se vendieron entre 8 y 9 millones en todo el mundo.

Los juegos H están censurados, al igual que en Dreamcast (Kanon en PC no es nada correcto, ya que he visto unas cuantas imágenes...menos mal que tengo 23!)
