Madden NFL En ESPAÑOL

EA Sports announced they will be releasing a different version of Madden 08. What's the difference you ask? Well the game is in Spanish. After seeing a video of the game, the game still has the radio announcer feel, only the commentating is done by Alvaro Martin. I'm curious to find out if any improvements or "fixes" from the version released in August are in this newer version. Also, since it's a different version will there be problems that arise when you want to play someone in online play? I believe the PS2 had issues with the Madden '05 Collectors edition and regular edition.

With Luis Castillo being on the cover is he now cursed? Well he does have Norv Turner as his head coach, so we'd like to think he is. I'm curious why they didn't use Tony Gonzalez. He's been in the league longer, and has arguably had a better career than Castillo. Lastly, sorry PS3 Spanish speakers, but this game is only coming out on PS2 and the XBOX 360. It's set to release this holiday season

Below is the press release put out today. Be sure to stop by our forums and share your thoughts.

Madden NFL 08 en Espanol will feature San Diego Chargers defensive end Luis Castillo on the box cover. Madden NFL 08 en Espanol features exclusive Spanish language content, including additional music tracks, and Spanish play-by-play and game analysis voice-over.

"I am extremely proud to be selected as the cover athlete for Madden NFL 08 en Espanol," said Castillo. "This illustrates the growing popularity of Madden and NFL football within the Spanish-speaking community."

Castillo, a San Diego Chargers first round draft pick in 2005, ranked third on the team in sacks and was selected as a second-alternate to the AFC Pro Bowl last year. Castillo is from the Dominican Republic and speaks fluent Spanish, and he is only the second Dominican Republic player to be drafted and start in the NFL. In 2005, he was an All-Rookie Team selection by NFL.com, Pro Football Weekly and the Professional Football Writers of America.
