have you tryed another power adaptor ??? the chinese clones work fine.. with 9v 1A
an easy way to see it the console is getting power is with the console open, power on, and them if you have a led (any kinf of led), conect the legs to the legs of the 7805 (midle is ground, right is power) just for a fraccion of a second..
if the led blinks you have power and the problem is another.. if the led dont blink the voltage regulator ic (the 7805) is not working.. that can happen when someone tries worng polarity power adaptors.. the master system II is center negative and outside positive.. be sure to put the power adaptor from the "chinos" in the right order..
7805
________

input - ground - output (power) 5v
led

+ -
- with ground, + with power, just for a faccion of a second because the led's are usally 3v and the power out is 5v.. it will burn the led if you keep the led conected longer..but it will do the trick and test the power..
So, if your 7805 is ok... the problem can be with the capacitators near de video out chip
http://www.the-liberator.net/site-files ... rboard.JPGSee this foto, usually is the two blue capacitators up the cxa1145... and i put my money on the blue one just right of the R24... not the first one i see with that problem...
post the results..
