Hi,
I enclose our standard troubleshooting procedures to help you.
Please let me know.

---------------
Let's make first some checks:
A) Ground Wire (GND) and +3,3V wire section must be bigger than the other,
also GND must be as short as possible.
B) Wires MUST run parallel to the motherboard to avoid any interference.
C) The modchip must be separated and insulated from the motherboard with a
piece of insulation tape.
D) Check with a lens for any small drop of solder on the pins of the modchip.
all the pins should be free and there must be no short between them.
E) Check with a lens for any small drop of solder paste on the PS2
Motherboard.
F) check at:

http://www.consoleboard.com/claudio/foto/matrixmxl2_gh-023_by_clo.jpg
for a good example of correct installation of MXL2 modchip.
G) Some installers are reporting that (according the kind of wire you are
using), also the "Y" wire should be of biger section.
If the problem persist, than we must make some test:
Put the PS2 in PSX/DVD mode:
1) Try IMPORT (USA/JAP) PS1 games. Do they work?
2) Try a DVD movie using an RGB cable. Do they work? Do you see them in
color?
If the reply to the above is YES, then wires W, R, M, N, O P, Q, T, U, V,
RST, SCEX, Y are correctly connected.
Check again the "I" "G" "A" "B" wires. Remove them completely and make them
again completely new (wire and soldering).
Also check again wire placement and make sure they do not make contact with
the metal plate which protects the motherboard.
Check GND placement and length.
If all of this fails, please make some good photo of the MXL2 modchip
and of the installation you executed.
Also please explain exactly the procedure used to boot the games and
the result of the failed boots;
Do you get immediately a red screen?
The PS2 goes into the browser?
The disk is recognized in the browser but does not boot?
Please follow all the above and contact us again if you still have
problems.
Regards,
The Matrix Team.
