There’s still a week to go until Nintendo officially announces the details of the Wii launch – but MCV can reveal that the new console will hit retail by November 24th, it will be priced at £149 and stock will be plentiful.
Nintendo is remaining tight-lipped until its conferences next week, which take place on Thursday September 14th in the US and Japan, followed by Friday September 15th in Europe.

But MCV believes that Nintendo has chosen to launch its next generation console at £149, a figure that falls slap bang in the middle of the varying estimates that have been discussed for months. This makes Wii £50 cheaper than the Core Xbox 360 Pack and an estimated £275 cheaper than PS3.

Though the final details were thrashed out before the news of PS3’s delay emerged, a planned release to coincide with Thanksgiving in the US is anticipated. MCV expects Wii to launch shortly before Friday November 24th in the UK, giving it a lengthy spell at retail in the run-up to Christmas.

Senior industry sources have confirmed to MCV that Wii stock availability will not be an issue in the UK, with plentiful supplies anticipated for both the November launch and the Christmas run-in. This should eradicate any pre-order woes and will be enough to satisfy demand across retail.

149 libras con casi 225 euros, hace poco que estaba la libra a 1,42 euros hubieran sido unos 211 euros pero ahora la libra esta fuerte y casi esta en 1,50
£149 son 217€ hoy, q son unos 1.47 cada libra.
La Lite me salió por £99 q en ese momento fueron 143€

Haré negocios con los indios para tenerla cuanto antes :D, aquí se pasan por la piedra la entrega oficial :D, eso si, cuando les llegue es cuando la venden, (espero q no tarde muchoooo)

David Yarnton, presidente de Nintendo en el Reino Unido, ha negado las últimas especulaciones surgidas en torno al lanzamiento europeo de Wii lanzados desde MCV.

En declaraciones a GamesIndustry, David Yarnton ha dicho que las especulaciones son "definitivamente incorrectas." Añadió, además, que son "sólo especulación y definitivamente no son reales", aunque también indicó que "no se han alejado tanto, pero no han acertado."

Os recordamos que se espera que la información oficial sobre el lanzamiento europeo de Wii se dé el próximo 15 de septiembre en un evento en Londres, desde donde os mantendremos informados.

Vamos, que ya saben el precio y la fecha, pero hasta el 15 nada de nada dirán oficialmente.
Si el presidente de Nintendo UK dice que no se han alejado tanto yo apuesto a menos de 149 libras.

Si sale por 200 será cara pero me la pillaré, si sale por más me pensaría el pillármela y posiblemente espere a ver si pasa como con NDS que antes de terminar el año ya había bajado.
Yo estoy con Turyx, costará 250€ cuando salga, por lo menos en España, ya que aqui siempre salimos "ganando" con el €uro. [qmparto]

Calla calla, que si fuera por capcom saldría en pesetas, y MUY barato. Ya quisiera mucha gente aficionada encontrar las armas de RE4 por ese precio en el mercado.
