Nintendo Announces e-Reader Bundle
Nintendo today announced a new bundle deal combining its new Game Boy Advance colors with its e-Reader peripheral. Starting October 13, and continuing for a limited time after that, players who pick up an Indigo or Glacier GBA (we think those translate to "purple" and "light blue," but we wouldn't swear to it) will also receive an e-Reader and two packs of e-Cards for the regular $79.99 price.
You can actually get an old-style GBA for a bit less than that at many places, which will hopefully also honor the deal. While the e-Reader has been justifiably mocked from many quarters for its questionable usefulness, Nintendo is offering some nice games to go with this bundle: Donkey Kong Jr. and a sample package with other games.
If you're already on the e-Reader bandwagon, you may look forward to the holiday release of three key e-Card series: a new Pokemon Battle series, more than 25 new Game & Watch revivals, and a series of Super Mario Advance 4 cards that unlock new levels and power-ups in the latest Mario remake.
