No entiendo el mediaplayer

Hola.

Hace poco que he pillado una xbox para un hermano y después de chipearla y prepararla con el evox, tengo un problema que no se como solucionar con el media player.
El problema es que aun no he conseguido ver una pelicula entera (divx,mpg,asf) ni desde CD-RW ni desde el HD.
Todas las películas que he probado se paran en determinado punto (cada una en un minuto diferente) y no me dejan seguir, ni avanzarlas ni nada.
Simplemente se paran y vuelve al menu, como si fuera un programa demo que funciona por un tiempo.
He buscado soluciones por faqs y no encuentro dicho problema en ninguno. He configurado todo aparentemente bien, cachés y demás.
Esto me pasa con el XBMP 2.2 (que venía con el slayers evox) y con el 2.33 que me baje para actualizar.

¿ Alguna idea ?

Prueba a bajarte el 2.3 oficial,y ha z una instalacion limpia;borras la que venia en el slayer y vuelve a meter la nueva q bajes, a ver q tal. [boing]
Ya lo he hecho y sigue igual.
La 2.33 tiene una carpeta DLL con un monton de codecs, pero los videos (divx3,4,5, mpg, asf) se siguen parando (cada uno en un minuto diferente) y saliendo al menu.
Tampoco funcionan los controles de adelantar o retrasar la peli.
Yo pensaba que el XBMP no fallaba tanto.
El player de PS2 lleva menos tiempo en desarrollo y furula mucho mejor.

ese problema solo le tendras tu, xq ami me van de lujo todas las pelis en el XBMP desde cdrw y desde el hd y nunca seme traba ninguna.

Me parece muy bien que a ti te funcione bien. Pero yo tengo este problema y pregunto por si alguien sabe la solución.
Si no aportas nada nuevo no hace falta que contestes.

prueba a bajar la ultima version (3-14-2003) ya que casi cada dia la van puliendo

Config.xml updated to show .m3u as a valid extension for Videos.

All lang files updated. Lots of bugfixes, per the CVS notes:

- fix 702568 AV sync problems with PVA files

- disable postprocessing by default

- .pls stream recording support

Good stuff. Skin.xml updated quite a bit for 720p and 1080i. There's a
tag added to config.xml to specify which res you're using,
instead of modifying the skin.xml file to set the default. It's explained
in config.xml. Lang-1.xml updated with Tuple "406,Cannot set resolution
to", "407,Not supported by current video settings", "408,Not supported by
skin". It also displays your video mode on the root XBMP screen.

A newer version of Goom Viz was ported, so now we get different types
of visualization styles. As noted below, it supports FPS counter and
song titles, but since it's being rendered at 320x320, they look like
shit and are disabled for now. They will be enabled in a different
manner in the future. I should also mention that there seem to be a
fair amount of deadtime w/ this viz. It seems to be the fault of the
original code (goom 1.99) as I tested it w/ the same mp3 on WMP9 and
had identical results. So, for now, some people may be dissatisifed.

BMP and PNG images are now supported. Config.xml updated with these two
extensions.

- new version of picture library now supports .png / .bmp as well

- latest version of goom (1.99) port. includes textoutput support but looks crap so has been left disabled (for now)

- Fixed a bug where splash screen doesn't show if tag is set. Now splash screen shows unless .cut file is found, which makes XBMP run as dash.

- Improved error handling for when resolution set in config.xml is not available. If requested resolution is not supported by current Xbox video settings or by skin.xml, then XBMP quits with an error explaning why.

- The tag in skin.xml is no longer necessary b/c the resolution selected is based solely on the tag in config.xml.

- Added tag in config.xml

- Initial support for hdtv resolutions: 720p and 1080i

- skin.xml needs to be updated for those 2 resolutions.

- Bugfixed #694301 - In music playlist, focus jumps to top when selecting a song

Soy nuevo en esto de la xbox (yo soy de PS2) y no entiendo este problemilla con el mediaplayer. Es bastante extraño y sin documentar, por lo que veo.
Tengo la X-caja gafe total ;)
