Nueva lite on 124 revision D compatible?

c4evaSpeaks community member Wasa has contacted us regarding his discovery of a new Lite-On iHAS revision "D". The drive label designates its full model number as "iHAS124-04 DU", and when connected to the PC, it reads as an "ATAPI iHAS124 D ATA device". The manufacture date of the drive is July, 2012. The chipset is still a MediaTek (MT1809LN), with a flash size of 1MB (flash ID "EF 13 00 39"). Lite-On recently issued an update for the drive on October 3, 2012, which changed its firmware from version 8L03 to 8L05. Wasa purchased the drive in Mexico, but we suspect that this drive will soon begin making its appearance in most retail outlets if it hasn't already.

Being that the drive's flash is only 1MB like the "C", sadly, this new iHAS "D" revision is incompatible with c4eva's iXtreme Burner MAX firmware which is based on the iHAS "B" revision with 2MB flash. The official cross-flashable drive models list on c4evaSpeaks has been updated with an added note about the new "D" revision, as well as a gallery of example images showing some of the different revisions' drive label stickers and box labels.

lo que viene a decir que hay una revision "D" MAnufacturado july 2012 y son compatibles/flasheable.
salvo la version 8l05 que metieron en algunos paises como mexico y aun asi sospechan que se podra flashear.

Yo entiendo que es incompatible porque mantiene el buffer de 1MB como las "C" y iXtreme burner max necesita 2MB.

. Lite-On emitió recientemente una actualización de la unidad 3 de octubre de 2012, que modificó la versión de firmware TIC 8L03 a 8L05(lo que quiere decir segun creo que la version TIC 8L03 Parece ser compatible,por eso sacaron otro fw llamado TIC 8L05

Ahí simplemente dice que Liteon publicó una actualización para el firmware de la grabadora, pero en ningún sitio dice que la versión anterior sea compatible con iXtreme Burner Max, de hecho dice lo contrario, que el chip es el mismo que el de las revisiones "C" con buffer de 1MB y es incompatible.

Además, que Liteon saque una actualización de firmware no afecta en nada a que se pueda flashear con iXtreme burner max o no, porque de todas formas el firmware que lleve lo vas a borrar para flashear con el de c4eva, aquí lo importante es el chip y es incompatible.

Otra cosa es que c4eva se quiera molestar el sacar otra revisión de iXtreme burner max que sea compatible con estos modelos, pero no lo veo muy por la labor.

Porque según parece el primer modelo con revisión "D" se ha detectado en Mexico, pero también se irán distribuyendo por otros países y quieren que les informen cuando esto pase supongo que para comprobar los chips y ver si se puede hacer algo, pero lo normal es que no se puedan flashear a no ser que c4eva se remangue de nuevo.
una pregunta, alguien ha intendado verficar si el lente de las liteon IHAS 124 C o D son las mismas que las del IHAS 124 B??? Digo por si se agota el tiempo de vida de nuestras lentes pues sencillamente a cambiarlas y listo otro tiempo mas de vida.

pues si alguien se entera de que si se puede flashear que lo diga...porque me he gastado 15 pavos en una y pone eso mismo.... ATAPI iHAS124 D ATA device.

he tenido muchas ganas de comprar una quemadora liteon solo para verificar esto, ahora que junte un poco de dinero lo hare. saludos

te podria pedir un gran favor y pudieras desarmar tu unidad quemadora y checar que modelo de laser tiene o tomar una fotos ??
Bueno me acabo de comprar una liteon de estas y es version DU y no es compatible... tiene el chip de 1mb
esta supuestamente tiene 2MB no?
