Origen Xbox360 finally revealed
Nothing to do with rabbits!
By Marc McEntegart: martes 08 noviembre 2005, 10:54
WHILE the internet hasn't exactly been buzzing with rumours about the ill-fated Origen attempt at viral advertising, it has finally been revealed what exactly the attempt to introduce the Xbox 360 was trying.
Advertised by two bizarre rabbits - Boss & Didier to the inducted - as a gamers' paradise, Microsoft has announced that it is holding a party in the Mojave Desert in the US. Winners of the Origen 360 competition will be sent into the dessert for what sounds like the LAN party to end all LAN parties. Lasting two days, the Xbox: Zero Hour event will be an opportunity for gamers to get to grips with the Xbox 360 on high definition screens, with digital sound, before anyone else has a chance.
For those unlucky enough not to have won VIP access thanks to either Origen or Hex168, 3,000 tickets will be available from "selected Xbox fansites" from the 10th of November. While these tickets won't grant the same access as the competition winners VIP status, gamers willing to take a trip out into the desert will have a chance to overlook the proceedings and play with the next gen console.
While attendees may be excited by being offered the chance to be among the first gamers to see a 32 player Perfect Dark Zero match, the majority of the event will be a two day gameathon. It certainly is an enticing opportunity, but at this stage two whole days of Origen seems as hard to stomach as Didier and Boss were. µ
