"Alright here is how to do it. I didn't post it because it is a bit tricky and I was going to do it anyway since already had experience with Ouendan. I hope this isn't against the TOS too >_> (none of these programs is illegal nor extracting data from YOUR game, but what do I know...)
1.- Like you said, open the backup with "NDS Top System" (a program) and extract the biggest sound_data.sdat (~60mb)
2.- Go here:
http://loveemu.yh.land.to and download "strm2wav" and "ssequtil" [(in the "old files"
3.- In cmd, use "sseqrip.exe -strm sound_data.sdat" to extract all the strm and "strm2wav.exe *.*"
to convert them into wavs.
4.- Now this is the tricky part. Let's see:
To save rom space, EBA reuses parts of the songs (ex. rather that recording a full song, they cut it in part1+ chorus + part2 + chorus and reuse the chorus). However most songs are divided into +20 parts and it can be a bit hard to put them together.
Usually I'll classify wavs from songs, then use an audio editing tool, load a youtube replay with decent sound quality to use as a guide and start assembling the parts. This can take from 10 mins to nearly one hour, some songs are harder to do than others plus you have to listen at some parts again, again, again, you get a bit sick of the songs... Also for some songs like JFF or Without a Fight you can make normal/multiplayer versions with the samples given.
Once I get the song correctly I listen to it once again (aargg) to see if it's 100% correct then usually add a couple of seconds of silence after the song (since it ends instantly), resample to 44100 (the original wavs are in a nonstandard ~16khz) and encode it using "Lame3.97b2 -V 0 --vbr-new" (the best mp3 encoder you can use imo) then tag.
I made sure my rips are 100% correct or nearly (I had to restart about 15 times "La La" just because there where 2 extremely similar samples used one after another, until I got the order right) and to save people the trouble I was offering them. Oh and the title song needs to be looped, but it's harder to explain (too technical) and I think nobody would care. All this works for Ouendan too, btw.
So far I did all but ABC, Walkie Talkie Man and the tutorial song. Once I complete the rip I'll think how to distribute it, but I rather not have to email it >_>."
Al final comenta cosas del EBA.
