New information on Devil May Cry 4 was published by the Japanese magazine Famitsu , in its "Famitsu Capcom vol. 2" . Here a summary of the essential elements:
. Dante will have much more movements than in the 3 preceding parts
. The producer of the play, Hiroyuki Kobayashi , specifies that the final quality of the play in real time will be at least equivalent to what had been diffused in Tokyo Game Show and E3 .
. Kobayashi was to decrease the difficulty of DMC4. But following the doubts expressed by many fans, the producer changed opinion: rather than to decrease the difficulty of the whole play, it will simplify the control of the character.
. The director Hideaki Itsuno specifies that Dante will have certainly a look more cool and will paraitra older, compared to what was seen on the vidéos.
. The play will be an exclusiveness PlayStation 3
. No date of exit was announced
The saga Wars Star: Knights of the Old Republic , or rather Wars Star: KOTOR for the close friends, could unload at Sony , more precisely on PlayStation 3 . Indeed, the studio Obsidian Entertainment , creator of the second shutter, diffused an offer with the ANPE... oups, not, I wanted simply to say that they seek programmers PlayStation 3, in order to develop a action/RPG with the third nobody.
Does nothing say that that could be a new episode "Wars Star" , but within sight of the success of the preceding episodes... why not?

New president says the Dead or Alive publisher will soon reveal its games for Sony's next-gen console; says all new platforms have their advantages.
The year 2006 will see a new start for Tecmo, as the company is replacing its old management. On January 1, president Junji Nakamura stepped down, passing his position to Yoshimi Yasuda, former chief of Tecmo's broadband and mobile business division.
The latest issue of Famitsu PS2 features a short interview with Yasuda, who told the magazine the game industry will undergo a "qualitative shift" in 2006. He said that processing power will not be as much of a factor as in the past, because each next-generation console will cater to its maker's core audience. Yasuda also said it won't be long until Tecmo, which has already released Dead or Alive 4 for the Xbox 360, reveals its lineup for the PlayStation 3. "The announcement will be made soon," he told the magazine.
Yasuda sees the emergence of new markets as another factor in the game industry's forthcoming "qualitative shift." Mobile phones and other platforms will allow various people to enjoy entertainment, regardless of their lifestyles. He also thinks growing demand in China, Russia, Brazil, and India will have a major impact on how games are marketed internationally.

Vandal: escribió: FOSTER CITY, Calif., Jan. 24 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Sony Computer Entertainment (SCE) announced today that leading game developer and long-time partner Zipper Interactive, creators of the top-selling SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs franchise, joins its newly formed global development operation, SCE Worldwide Studios. In an effort to further its commitment to long-term creative excellence in game development on PlayStation(R) platforms, the addition of Zipper Interactive marks the second studio acquisition by SCE following Guerrilla B.V. in December 2005.
Based in Redmond, Wash., Zipper Interactive is the award-winning developer of the SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs series for both the PlayStation(R)2 computer entertainment system and the PSP(TM) (PlayStation(R)Portable) system, with franchise sales of all SOCOM titles surpassing seven million units worldwide. As the breakthrough online franchise on PlayStation 2, the critically acclaimed SOCOM series has consistently ranked number one within the platform portfolio across all global markets.
Building on an already strong and close working relationship between Zipper and Sony Computer Entertainment America, the two companies have signed an exclusive development agreement in January 2006. This move brings a studio well known for technology innovation formally into the PlayStation family and becomes a key creative force of SCE Worldwide Studios. Its day-to-day operations will continue to be run by the current management team and company founders in conjunction with SCE WWS Foster City Studio. Financial terms of this arrangement are not disclosed.
"Zipper Interactive is one of the most well-known and respected development teams in the industry and we have enjoyed a great working relationship with the company since July 1999," said Phil Harrison, president, SCE Worldwide Studios. "Zipper's tremendous achievements and expertise in creating top-selling games with fantastically loyal online communities is a great addition to our development organization. We are delighted that Zipper Interactive is now a core member of the SCE Worldwide Studios network."
"We were first drawn to Sony Computer Entertainment by their vision for growing the videogame industry," said Jim Bosler, president and CEO, Zipper Interactive. "We've enjoyed an incredible relationship with SCE for more than six years. This has allowed us to combine our cutting edge technical and design capabilities with SCE's creative insights and extraordinary support to become the leader in the online console multiplayer field. As a part of the Sony Computer Entertainment group we can look forward to introducing innovative titles that push online functionality and community experiences even further."
Electronic Arts has now confirmed that Medal of Honor Airborne, the latest in the MoH series, is headed to the PS3 and Xbox 360. The next generation versions will join PC, PS2, and Xbox versions already in progress.
One of the new gameplay features is the ability to choose your “spawn point” or starting point during a mission. Being able to choose where you are dropped should add another layer of strategy to the MoH formula. After parachuting into position you will be able to freely fight throughout war-torn Europe, completing your objectives, eventually landing you in Germany.
Medal of Honor Airborne, which promises to bring “innovations that will redefine the series and impact the genre as a whole”, is scheduled to drop in winter 2006. We will keep you posted when any new information regarding MoH:A is released. Look for this title to be one of EA’s big games shown at E3 coming up in May.
In a twist of events, developer Guerrilla Games stepped forward and spoke on this subject. "...as for the PS2 vs PS3 development question. I was chatting to Michael and he was telling me how crazy-easy it was compared to the PS2 and how much quicker things have been going for them. I will take his word on that," said one of their employees working on the PlayStation 3 title Killzone 2.

French Kynogon has just announced the provision of totality from his "tools" and middleware for the PS3 .
This company is specialized in the artificial intelligence with its famous Kynapse which in is today with its 4éme version, integrating a technology known as of "Broad scale I.A" supposed to give the means to the "NPC" (nonplayable Character) of thinking efficiently of its environment and to benefit from it.
As a good news never arrives only, Kynapse 4.0 should also advantageously exploit the capacities of Cell and its aptitudes for the multi-threading .
If you wish to know of it more about this fabulous subject that is the artificial intelligence, I invite you to consult the official site: Kynogon.com
Perhaps with a title like that, you wonder if I am ironical, if I idealize or if I anything say.
Reassure you, it is not to in no case the case of Keith Stuart , freelance journalist for the official magazine of the PS2 (US) for which it have just written an article on Possession , a title of the Volatile studio . During its displacement to the known as studio, it which been able to put some questions with the developers as for their impressions about the programming about PS3: I imagine that the majority of the journalists in contact with the developers of the world videoludic do not have that this kind of questions to the mouth. Now that the magazine east left, it allows poster this invaluable information on the ouaib, that we hasten to summarize here.
Knowing that the team still works with the kit of nonfinal development of the PS3 (that out of maché paper), that the opinion of these developers parmis so much of others - divided by those of Killzone all the same, you are only one opinion will have understood that these appreciations are to be relativized: they give all the same pleasure to read.
Firstly, the developers of Bird are happy to note that the PS3 is not as complicated to program as it was thought. The use by the machine of the OPEN GL as interfaces graphic programming ( API graphics ) means that no matter who having programmed on PC will be familiarized with the adjustments. And still, version PS3 is a reduced version even simpler, the OPEN GL ES, at least according to the principal developer of Bird, Lyndon Homewood :
"(...) Because one has that on PS3, that will be much easier than on PS2 to program: all technical paperasse necessary is already available."
The use of the CG (a version of the language C which makes it possible to make insane things, full with shadés and interpolated vertexes) facilitates even more the things, allows morphings and effects of light non-existent on PS2 because too much difficult to set up (without speaking about the limited capacities of the console concerning these effects in particular). Small bémole: ' the principal processor can reach all the video memory but each septs SPE has access only to 256k: handling necessary to process heavy data in this configuration seems to make the task more complex than on Xbox 360'.
Continuous Lyndon: "the graphic capacities of the PS3 will be slightly higher than last charts PC cry, but the power of the machine will make it possible to see much more physics and of generated geometry (like water for example, which one will be able to assign the movements with a SPE in particular)."
The management of the SPE will be thus the key to success: one would be assigned with the IA, when another physics etc would control, but it is an organization which poses problêmes of coordination that the team of Bird regards as " extremely problematic ".
Last thing: the PS3 will be higher than its competitor concerning kinematics HD, thanks to Blu-Ray (20 minutes of kinematics HD require 4,7GB what will be, you will include/understand it easily, a little just to store the remainder of the play on a simple DVD).
The PS3 is thus relatively easy to program if one refers to all these elements, at least for the developers accustomed to the powerful PC. Moreover, according to what Keith Stuart on several occasions heard, the assistance of Sony to the developers will be more significant in comparison with that provided for the PS2 (it is already the case with the PSP apparently). If with that one still hears râler of it.
I would leave the word of the end with Mr. Stuart, who summarizes rather well the land-mark-spiced taste which remains me in the mouth after these a few weeks thethin ones concerning information PS3:
"There are the screenshots, the demonstrations and the promises, there is the enthusiasm of the developers as for the hardware next-gen of Sony. There are not plays."
Quite known as.
It is the Famitsu magazine which is stuck to it, by bringing back the remarks of Japanese analysts, who reflect the forecasts of their American fellow-members.
Eiji Maeda , of Daiwa Institute of Research , estimates that PlayStation 3 will be launched to Japan between April and June , but will not have a line-up provided before the summer or the winter. Jay Defibaugh , of the Swiss Credit First Boston (currently working for the Swiss branch Credit of Tokyo), envisages an almost similar date, between May and June .
Although Sony intends to leave the console next spring, the analysts envisage a delay of launching, since only 2 plays are currently planned for this period. Indeed, it will be necessary to await the end of the year to reach 8 titles , which remains very weak... And it is this factor which is likely to weaken the sales of the console in 2006, according to Eiji Maeda , although it estimates that it will be the gaining console parmis the next-gen.
Maeda estimates that the Blu-Ray reader of the PS3 will not be a sales point as significant as was reader DVD of the PS2. It estimates that the PS3 will cost at least 40000 yens (285 €) , whereas the Revolution should at most cost 30000 yens (215 €). Moreover, from here the exit of the console next-gen of Sony, it thinks that Microsoft will have lowered the price of Xbox 360 .
Hiroshige Gotoh , journalist at IT , think that the Revolution has the potential to gain the war next-gen, thanks to its innovations and its very special lever.
Defibaugh (of Swiss Credit ), thinks that the Japanese market will be dominated by the PS3 if the sales of Xbox 360 remain also weak in the future.
Defibaugh and Maeda think both that PlayStation 3 will have 50% of the shares of market at the end of 2006 , against 30% for Xbox 360, and 20% for the Revolution.
PlayStation 3 still arises gaining in the ball of Mrs Irma , but with final, we always do not have any date, nor official price... The whole world starts with impatienter... Wait & See!
As you will have been able to note it since the beginning of the month, through several job offers, various studios hustle with the wickets of the developers PlayStation 3 .
The Japanese magazine Famitsu still adds one of them to the list: the Success studio , already creative several plays on various platforms. Success announces two titles PS3 for this year: A RPG without title, and a simulation temporarily entitled Hitsuji Walled .
Currently, to summarize, there are 71 editors who work on 102 plays for PlayStation 3, the majority not having any date of planned exit. With Success , L has list of plays PS3 planned for 2006 éleve with 8 titles :
Fatal Inertia , Koei, spring 2006
Mahjong Taikai , Koei, spring 2006
Nor-Oh , Koei, Be 2006
Shin Ten Makai VI , Idea Factory, Be 2006
Vampire' S Rain , AQ Interactive, winter 2006
Sonic the Hedgehog , Sega, 2006
Unnamed RPG , Success, 2006
Hitsuji Walled , Success, 2006
The availability of a graphic tool for the PS3, Optix ImageStudio , has been just announced by Web Technology , company based in Japan , specialized in the creation of development tools.
This tool will be available on February 1, in the form of a license amounting to 360 150 Yen (either a little more 2400€ approximately). The developers using version PS2 V.5, will be able to put the tool has level for the sum of 147.000 Yen.
Version PS3 adds the support of the format of images 32-bit RGBA8888 (depth of colors + Alpha treatment for the experts in imagery), the direct edition and the conversion of compressed textures S3TC (Dxt1-5) (there on the other hand, it is of Chinese), as well as the support of files PS3 DDS (certainly a format of files specific to the console).
Namco has recently launched a PS3 portion of its Japanese website. The section reveals that four games are currently in development:
·Role Playing Game
·Fighting Game
·Shooting Game
·Sports Game
We can safely speculate that the fighting game would be a new Tekken, which had a small preview at last year’s E3. The other three are anyone’s guess, however it is likely that most of these four will make it within the launch window given the timing of the update.
Activision has also revealed that it will be producing a Spiderman and Call of Duty game for the PS3. With the success of the Call of Duty series and a new Spiderman movie in the works, both of these games should garner significant attention as the time comes closer for their release.
As these announcements continue to come in, it is becoming more and more clear that the PS3 is gearing up for a launch. Sony has even put up job listings that seem to lead towards the production of a new Ape Escape game. We will continue to bring you updates with any new information on the four Namco titles, as well as when any new titles are announced.
