Posible patch para jugar online a RS

Ubisoft's Red Steel is one of the most anticipated of the Wii launch games. This is partly due to the fact that it was the first Wii game we actually saw. The other part? Its gameplay is made up entirely of shooting and sword swiping. And until the realization that third party Wii games will not be online until early 2007, many hoped to takes their gun-toting, sword-swiping hero against others online.

After that announcement, some readers here speculated there may be online modes built in that can be unlocked, or the games could just be patched with online content. It turns out that might not be too far off. On Nintendo of Europe's site, an interview with Ubisoft Senior Project Coordinator Stephanie Langlois sheds some light on the situation. "Online will maybe one day be announced by Nintendo but it won't be for the launch [of Red Steel]. In terms of gameplay I can't reveal anything really but what I can say is that internally we are making tons of tests."

That means Ubisoft is testing a Red Steel online mode. If they can get it to work, we may see it in the form of a patch or, if Red Steel sells well, in a sequel.
