Mi distro es kubuntu y ya estoy arto de cambiar la configuración de alsa para que me detecte los canales y se escuche mi 5.1.
Alsa me detecta mi tarjeta de sonido integrada en mi placa
Asus A8R-MVP como snd_hda_intel.
Veo en la configuraciçon de alsa

This module supports multiple cards and autoprobe.
Each codec may have a model table for different configurations.
If your machine isn't listed there, the default (usually minimal)
configuration is set up. You can pass "model=<name>" option to
specify a certain model in such a case. There are different
models depending on the codec chip.

y agrego a "/etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base" la siguiente linea: "options snd-hda-intel model=asus position_fix=0"
Con esta configuración solo me detecta 3 canales, también he probado 3stack, 5stack, 6stack........ detectandome esta última 6 canales pero sin que a parte de mis dos frontales consigan ecucharse el resto y como ya estoy cansado de reiniciar el equipo y ver que amarok no escupe música por mis 5 altavoces pues aqui me hallo.
