Problema con cubo compiz en PC

Hace bastante que no uso este efecto pero hoy me he decidido a instalar el hardy heron y veo que no funciona (en la anterior si iba).

Tengo instalado compiz settings manager y tengo activado el desktop cube y rotate cube. Las teclas estan puestas en ctrl+alt+button1, pero cuando le doy no gira.. Sin embargo si que puedo cambiar de escritorio con ctrl+alt+left/right.

Alguien sabe por que puede ser?

PD: he estado mirando y no va ningun efecto y si que tengo aceleracion.

PD2: por otro lado al intentar esto me da error (intentando instalar avant window navigator)
