Holas,

Acabo de comprar un portátil nuevo para mi madre y aunque antes de pasar por caja he podido probar un live CD de ubuntu de forma bastante intensiva, al instalar el sistema me he encontrado con el siguiente problema: al abrir totem recibo este mensaje:

cristina@cristina-laptop:~$ totem
/bin/sh: /usr/bin/esd: not found
sh: jackd: not found

Y al intentar reproducir cualquier tipo de archivo (ya sea audio o video):

sh: jackd: not found

Gdk-ERROR **: The program 'totem' received an X Window System error.

The error was 'BadAlloc (insufficient resources for operation)'.

Si abro totem --sync recibo la misma información. A ver si alguien puede echarme un cable a la mayor brevedad posible porque mañana tengo que irme de la provincia y me gustaría dejarle el sistema limpio a mi madre, y en la vida me había surgido un problema semejante por lo que no sé por dónde meterle mano.

El primer error es porque no encuentra el ejecutable de ESD. Comprueba que tengas instalado el paquete Esound en tu sistema.

Vale, tras instalar esound y jackd me sale esto:

EDITO: he encontrado la solución en Ubuntuforums. Tenía que ver con compiz y el driver de Intel, y se solucionaba yendo a gstreamer-properties y poniendo para la reproducción de video X Window System (No Xv).
