Veo que según tu fstab /dev/hdb5 es tu partición de intercambio 'swap', por lo tanto podría ser que /dev/hdb2 sea tu unidad de DVD, repite lo que te dije de montar con mount en el mensaje anterior pero en lugar de /dev/scd0 usa /dev/sdb2 a ver si acertamos.
