no es definitivo (aunque por lo q se lee ahí si lo parece, yo no lo creo, la RAM es algo q se puede cerrar justo al final del ciclo de prototipo), pero vamos, toda la industria dice q 256MB son pocas, incluso que 512MB serían pocas...

la cosa es, estarías dispuesto a pagar 900€ por una maquina cuya memoria cuesta más de 500€?

las consolas han de jugar con eso, y la memoria a dia de hoy es su componente más caro (con mucha diferencia) y el más inestable en precio.

de todas maneras tal vez usen 4 modulos de 256MB=1GB por que usar 4 modulos de 64mb

lo que me intriga es que compresion podran usar via Soft y si podra hacer lo que 3DC para "un supuesto uso" de normal maps

sony no es amiga de licenciar nada en temas de IP, así que tendra q sacarse de la manga algoritmos de compresión varios (texturas, 3dc, displacement y derivados)... aunque viendo los algoritmos q tienen ahora q son cualquier cosa menos buenos... a saber q pasa.

yo me refiero a q los 25GB/s siempre serán teóricos y no practicos (caso de la GDDR q montará xbox 2), ya q los "dobles/cuadruples" canales juegan con que los datos estan en diferentes modulos... cosa que no suele suceder...
